Can't comment on BC but tonight with way too much time on my hands I watched Virginia Tech's first game against UNC and the last one against Syracuse. It was like watching two completely different teams. They played outstanding defense against UNC with a lot of man to man coverage that...
Tonight I watched both the UNC game and the Syracuse game for Virginia Tech. It was like watching two different teams. The Hokies played great defense against Sam Howell and UNC with press man to man on the outside that just locked down the Tar Heel receivers. They were not near as effective...
Nope. We should put the final nail in Fuentes' coffin. We can move the ball and they struggle to get first downs. Coach Thacker needs to get his guys ready to play. It is not like we have to stop them on every possession.
Point taken. The announcers felt it was incidental and not in the spirit of what the penalty is supposed to prevent. We had a 13-0 lead in the first quarter and let it get away from us. UVA scored on every possession but two, I think. That is what lost us the game not penalties.
I can't imagine what they would be but the Virginia Tech situation is one that should give pause to those who want to fire a coach and look for a savior. Fuentes (spelling?) was the golden boy not too long ago while everyone was deriding UVA selecting Bronco. Funny, how these things work out...
I think most people are saying 5 wins but I am sticking with my preseason projection of 4 wins. IF we beat the Hokies next week, then we will probably win 5, perhaps even 6. Lose next week and it is hard to see much more than four wins.
Pretty much spot on. Ya'll need to listen to this man. "I don't even know what I would realistically do different as AD or HC..." Neither do I because it seems like the breakdowns are so random and as you put it we are now the epitome of a "Dr. J (no, not that one, the other one) and Mr. H...
"Either our offense found something that works, we had a good night or UVA has a terrible D." A mixture of all three. The game was not as close as the final score would indicate. The roughing the passer call on UVA in the first half that resulted in an interception was a terrible call.
We gave up over 600 yards in total offense and made a pretty pedestrian quarterback look like the second coming of Cam Newton with 99 yards rushing. I think UVA scored on every possession but one, perhaps two. Thompson had a game for the ages against us, rushing, receiving and blocking. Just...
That is true but UVA would appear to have a better line for pass blocking. If I were a pro team drafting one or the other, it would be Pickett all the way.
Changed my mind. I am predicting now, until I change it again after the fact, for the Jackets to win in a mild upset pulling it out in the fourth quarter. My reasoning is that UVA is SO one dimensional that it will enable Coach Thacker to bring enough heat to get to Armstrong. This is my...
Not that it really matters in the final analysis but college football news in their weekly ACC picks predicted UVA to win and cover...just barely with a predicted score of 33-24. The silver lining is that this is the kind of game score that gives us a chance to steal it in the fourth quarter...
