Correct. My wife is not a dog, and my dog is not my wife. My wife's dog does react when I yell and my dog does not have a wife. I really don't have a dog, but my wife does; that dog is not me. So, both my wife and my wife's dog react when I yell at the screen (be it widescreen or computer screen) when someone does something stupid, which is about 70% of the time. When you say "[your] dog or [your] wife," that's not appositional, right?

That may or may no be a made-up statistic.
But, the bourbon is real and always flowing. And, I did testify in State Court today. It was an....interesting day.

I remember hearing that half had been raised before the campaign even started. Can someone confirm?Georgia Tech raises $300M for athletic facility improvements
The Georgia Tech fundraising initiative would be spent on renovations to Bobby Dodd Stadium, improvements to the Zelnak Basketball Center, and upgrades to the O'Keefe Gym,www.fox5atlanta.com
300MM of 500MM raised already. Very impressive work by this admin.
From J Batt's email on Oct 15th (which is the same "nearly $300M" reference as the original announcement on Oct. 4th):I remember hearing that half had been raised before the campaign even started. Can someone confirm?
It’s been a couple months, such that I forget that was even part of the announcement lol. In any case, we went from nearly 300 to above 300 so progress is being made. From J Batt's email on Oct 15th (which is the same "nearly $300M" reference as the original announcement on Oct. 4th):
Wider butts need wider seats. I've seen this coming for awhile. It's a Law of Nature! When North Carolina added seats, it reduced their capacity from 60,000 to 50500 or 9500 seats according to AI. This is a reduction of 15.8% They used 22-inch seats. I think UNC added seats throughout the stadium or it appears that way on TV.
Based on that info: BD Current capacity--51913 x .158 =8202 seat reduction. Resulting capacity would be 43711. Obviously, an estimate since I don't know the current width of our seats (I think 16 or 18 Inches) or the width or UNC's original seats.
This based on adding seats to the total stadium. I doubt GT would add to the upper north.
Doesn't the campaign end on December 31st? If so, I doubt they reach their target if $500M.It’s been a couple months, such that I forget that was even part of the announcement lol. In any case, we went from nearly 300 to above 300 so progress is being made.
NIL and campaign funding are mutually exclusive. Further, the AD cannot create a campaign to fund an NIL collective that he does not nor cannot run or be a part of.In the world of modern NCAA football this seems like a huge waste of resources (money).
If I was JBatt and worried about the performance of the football team and the game day atmosphere, I'm only asking for NIL contributions currently.
How good of a team could we have with 1/2 of this amount over 10 years in NIL money. The top line NIL budgets are reported at $20million. Why not us? Put a top flight team on the field that leads to sellout crowds, which leads to more NIL because our team is winning championships, which leads to the budget to do stadium renovations.
Not a single recruit or player is coming to Tech because we have comfortable stadium seats or a huge video board.

Surprised $400M (or $350M) hasn't been hit in the last 2 months.
Am I the only one who can't find out how to donate to this and what the benefits are? I see where they will increase fee for the club seats or suites, but I don't see anything about "donate $50,000 and have a locker named after you, donate $100,000 and name the men's urinal area ("the Geoff Collins Memorial Trough?"), etc." I would think there would be something about how to donate actual dollars and not just upgrade your seats to a suite somewhere, but maybe I'm missing it.
There are only X amount of dollars that are going to be contributed to the Football program (renovations of BDS are a part of that). The campaign funding and NIL may be mutually exclusive but we don't have to have this campaign.NIL and campaign funding are mutually exclusive. Having said that, I agree it is a waste if time, but for another reason. I can see the finances of college sports going south really fast. Especially if the programs are forced to do any significant amount of revenue sharing. We should be having a campaign to endow every scholarship and coaching position, as well as pay down our debt, instead of trying to fund more capital projects.
