The ACC will delay the start of competition for all fall sports until at least Sept. 1

That’s a very long story of junk from one particular source, you realize that right? You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning and dying than you do corona. Please calm tf down.
There are facts in front of some of your faces and you won’t even look at them because you’re blinded by the fear porn. 99.6% survival rate. What are you screaming about dude?

We’ve gone full.
Retard!!! Yes, the survival rate is the only number that matters. I know people are scared and there is definitely reason to be but the numbers also show that this is not a death sentence for almost everyone.

Power 5 commissioners had a meeting today. Not looking good for fall football. This week will probably decide what happens. At least we will know one way or the other soon.

Just came to post this. Feels like as soon as the BIG10 back out, the rest will probably follow.

Here's hoping that the ACC, SEC, and Big 12 conferences save fall football.

So Ohio State's spot in the CFP would likely be available for a more deserving SEC team. I don't see a problem with that.

You are only reading what you want. The overall point is Covid is more treatable than it was. And it is blood based and not a lung infection. So not as many are dying.

But there are long term liabilities. And taking avoidable risks is stupid. Like being outside during a thunderstorm and being hit by lightning.

If the Big 10 and/or Pac 12 postpone the fall season, I expect that all of the P5 will follow. They will especially be leary of liability. If the SEC, Big 12, and ACC continue football while the rest of the NCAA does not and even one football athlete has severe problems from the virus, it would be trivial for a lawyer to argue that "everyone else involved in football knew the risks were too high and waited." Whether true and/or accurate or not, it will be a compelling argument that will end up costing those conferences money and potentially loss of control of their systems.

I think you are right on with what they are thinking and worrying about. And I think that thinking is anti-science, unrealistic, and they would all be full of ****. Imagine being worried about one spinal injury, or one case of CTE, or one head injury, or one heart issue. Crazy times. Lawyers suck ***.

A high percentage of doctors, epidemiologists, and researchers, aka scientists, with expertise in these fields consider COVID-19 a lot more dangerous than us average individuals. Science may not be what I would hang my argument for college football on.

I know right? Athletes are going to contract covid-19, and yes some will get sick from it, although I think the chance of a player dying of it is minuscule. The question is how many players will contract it and how many will get sick from it? What is the acceptable percentage?

If they feel that way about highly fit 20 year olds, they are anti-science too.

Gotcha. Scientists who's understanding of facts don't conform to your opinions are anti-science.

No. Stop trolling. If they feel that way, then they’re ignoring the actual data on deaths and hospitalizations for that demographic.

After getting lambasted for weeks, I repeat there will be no college football this year and plug is getting pulled this week. Actually think it benefits GT in many ways
