Question for you:
How many sudden deaths from myocarditis have we had in the US? How many under age 50 deaths/disabilities have we had from it?
Thanks.
In about 3 years, I think I could give you a reasonable answer to this question. Certainly not before football would start.
And when they retest those 45 how many will come back negative? Numbers are being thrown around to the point they mean nothing. We had a kid on my sons high school football team a month ago test positive in the morning. Since he was going to be shut down for 14 days and possibly the entire team his dad took him to another facility the same day and he tested negative. The next morning they drove to another town, got tested and was negative again. That’s happened many times to people I personally know. These tests just aren’t very accurate so when I hear one party caused 45 positive tests my first thought is the test center they all probably used is bad.
What people? List them (not names). I'm not trying to be a ****. It's just that I've seen statements like these readily defeated when it turns out, well my "sister's friend" or "person who goes to church with my cousin", etc., and sometimes each of those cases were actually people reporting the same rumor over and over.
That said, there
are significant false negative cases. Once again, false
negative. Not false positive. False positives on these tests could come from: 1. contamination or 2. fraud. I would say that both of those would represent extremely serious problems that I won't believe are happening without actual proof.
So if that happened to someone you know, what I would say is likely what happened is that the first test that was taken represents the phase of infection. Either too early so that there isn't significant viral shedding in the nasopharynx to reliably detect or that in fact he had recovered from the infection and had persistent but not clinically significant (at least we
think not clinically significant) virus present.
