According to a ticket site, the GT sideline is on the side with the upper deckIs there any info about tickets yet and which side will be the Tech side?

In comparison to OK and ARK, they are pretty good offensively, but yes, they have struggled against some good defenses, but 24 points against TX at TX was pretty impressive, and AL couldn't stop them.Vandy lost 6 games:
GA State 36-32
Missouri 30-27
Texas 27-24
USCe 28-7
Tennessee 36-23
LSU 24-17
They beat:
VPI 37-24
Alcorn St 55-0
Alabama 40-35
Kentucky 20-13
Ball St 24-14
Auburn 17-7
That doesn’t look like a scoring juggernaut to me.
Well, it's not as good as the Taco Bowl, but it is better than the Bowl of Beans Bowl. I'm not unhappy. Vandy is at least an interesting teamThe ol' "No win" bowl situation? Fan forums are rich
They are still in Birmingham but has moved from the old location a few miles south to a small strip mall in Vestavia. There is some memorabilia up but not as much as there was since the old man passed a few years back. A must though if you have the time..If any of y'all old farts like me remember Kool Korner grocery on 10th just off Tech campus (best Cuban sandwiches anywhere IMO), they moved probably 10+ years ago to the Birmingham area. Last time I was there on business, I stopped by and it was just as good as I remembered from the late 90's. They had a bunch of Tech gear up in the store. If you go, you should look them up!
The ACC, "It's just Mensa more.""It Just Means...Less?"
Don’t do this unless you are staying out towards the galleria. That’s a long way from the stadium. There’s usually plenty of parking downtown that’s not a bad walkFor those looking for a good deal on parking - of course, you will need to ride a shuttle
REMOTE COMPLIMENTARY PARKING AT RIVERCHASE GALLERIA:
The Riverchase Galleria and the Birmingham Bowl are happy to provide complimentary parking and shuttle service for Birmingham Bowl activities at Uptown on December 26th and 27th.
The designated parking area is located in front of the Hyatt and shuttles will run as outlined below.
White Shuttle: Riverchase Galleria at the Hyatt to Uptown District and back.
- December 26, 11:00 am – Midnight
- December 27, Post-game – Midnight
I am with you. Man, it isn’t like we’ve been lighting the cfb world up, and really haven’t had much relevance until last year. If we wanted a better bowl we should have won more. Seven wins and we get a team with an underdog story in the SEC, we can play spoiler and make others respect us. Candy had a big win against Bama, and right there in it with some other big guys. It’s close enough to drive too and it shouldn’t be snowing. This isn’t a bad match up. Tech better come ready to play, because these guys will be and the triple option is no joke. Also, if we want better bowls in the future we need to show up to the game.I don't get all the whining. All the bitching about wanting to play an SEC team and we got one. One that beat Alabama and lost to Texas by only 7. Quit whining.
So much whining about getting screwed by the bowls and the ACC. Would you rather be in Boston playing UConn? NY playing Nebraska? Charlotte playing Minnesota? Annapolis playing East Carolina? Detroit playing Toledo? Hell even if we got the Sun or Holiday there would be bitching about the travel.
You want Gator and Pop Tart bowls? Then win at least 8 or 9 games and start attending bowl games because they want crowds, where possible.
The CFB playoff is going to ruin whatever fun the bowls had left, which really wasn't much. How many games outside of the playoffs are must watch? Maybe Illinois vs South Carolina. We got what we wanted (SEC opponent) in a location that is drivable from Atlanta.
Stumbled into this restaurant a few years back on accident. Noticed all the GT memorabilia and had a chance to speak to the owner. Great GT guy and even better food! If you you find yourself in Vestavia Hills during your visit, be sure to stop by. It would be really kool if Key could take the team there for a meal. It would be awesome for the owner and also cool for the guys to find a diehard GT fan in their destination city.If any of y'all old farts like me remember Kool Korner grocery on 10th just off Tech campus (best Cuban sandwiches anywhere IMO), they moved probably 10+ years ago to the Birmingham area. My BIL worked for ESPN at the time when it was the PapaJohns.com Bowl. Crappy teams in a crappy stadium in a crappy part of town. We got free tickets every year and only went once (SMU vs some nobody). Now it’s in a revitalized part of town in a new stadium right next to Top Golf. I’m pretty excited my Jackets are coming to visit. My wife is not particularly a fan of live sports, but she is going to this one. If we bump into you, I will show you the ring that Key and I got in 1997-98. I showed it to Joe Ham at fan day a while back and he didn’t have his anymore. Something tells me Brent still has his.At least the Birmingham Bowl is in the new UAB stadium now and not the post-apocalyptic hellhole of Legion Field.
Does he know the other 2 diehard Vandy fans?My brother is a die hard Vandy alum and fan.
I went to uab and roomed with some players so I went to all the games in the early 2000s at legion and man that was an experience. The new digs downtown are incredible by comparison! I’m in the Ham as well and pumped to see the jackets with my boys and dad (gt grad). Hope to run into some of y’all swarmersMy BIL worked for ESPN at the time when it was the PapaJohns.com Bowl. Birmingham isn’t a bad city. It’s on my short list to move to outside of ATL. For Atlantans coming here they don’t need to get a hotel room and they can probably be home by 11. For the players, though this kinda blows and I feel for them. Big downgrade to go from staying on the water in Tampa Bay and going to Busch Gardens to staying at the Galleria and going to Top Golf lol.My BIL worked for ESPN at the time when it was the PapaJohns.com Bowl. Maybe it's just me, but they already got Ireland this year, so I hope the players are focused more on winning the game and less on sightseeing.Birmingham isn’t a bad city. Is that the East or West side? Assume the East side.According to a ticket site, the GT sideline is on the side with the upper deck
I stand corrected. They do have a fan!My brother is a die hard Vandy alum and fan.
