Justice is an NFL back. He's going to do this to A LOT of teams...I don't think a lot of our fans realize the type of impact he is going to have.
It'll be interesting to see how much difference he makes. The big thing will be how the coaches will work both him and Hosley into the game. An embarrassment of riches can be hard to deal with. But that'll work out on the field. I wouldn't be surprised if Hosley starts. Or Haynes.

We will be able to pass. It will be similar to the offense we ran with Godsey at QB where we can do it all. I can’t wait.
I think the TE position will be key.

It has been interesting to watch the game evolve. Defenses emphasized to stop the run game with big linebackers. So offenses started to throw more and attack the seams with quick slot receivers.

Defenses adjusted with quicker pass defending linebackers then to nickel backs and flooding the middle of the field with zone pass defenders.

Offenses adjusted with the flat passing attack to stretch defenses horizontally, but I think the defenses are compensating by recruiting perimeter defenders to defend the flat passing game.

But now defenses are spread out and will be vulnerable to the power rushing attacks. Defenses will be forced to stack the box. That means TE's that can block and go out in routes in the middle of the field could be the next big thing on offense.

We might have the personnel to do that.

All true. Football is the ultimate team sport and guys like Jordan Allen are needed as much as the 6’5” 240 guy. Everyone will expect GT football to take a step back because we lost the media darling Haynes King. And I like King but every broadcast was focused on him and because folks are lazy they’ll think we’ll take a step back. The reality is our talent has continued to improve year to year across the board.

We have 3 QB’s that I believe could step in. Just a few years ago all we had was Sims who was rough in all aspects, We now have 3 system QB’s who only lack one thing - playing time.

I would have like to have kept Cannion but if we had to lose a skilled position thankfully it has usually been a WR which is easily replaceable (Brown, Singleton, Cannion). I would have cried if we lost Hosley. I also think our LB’s are the best group we’ve had in a long time. And the change in defensive staff can only help compared to the nonsense we had last year.

We have the best kicker in the country and brought in a good punter. Those things are huge due to the close games we always find ourselves in. I think people will be shocked at how we won’t miss much of a beat on offense. And quite honestly we have 2 NFL RB’s we can lean on until the QB gets comfortable.

Can anybody remember what year it was when we dominated Georgia on the ground and the Georgia radio broadcaster was Larry Munson? I distinctly remember a phrase he uttered “they’ve got us like we’re on skates…“

That’s what I envision our offense looking like this year. In the fourth quarter we can just lean on teams and run at will.

Even with my optimism the area of concern is the OLine. This is why I only like Key and not love Key. If we finally get an OLine who can do what Johnson and O’Leary’s OLines could do then I’ll love him. So far we’ve been hit or miss (granted part of that could have been Buster’s scheme. I pray to the football gods that we come out and shove Colorado and Tennessee around while the horses run.

Best ever Larry Munson call was the infamous "they are marching the ball down the field like we are Wake Forest or Maryland or somebody". I have to admit I enjoyed listening to Munson and spent many fall afternoons in SoGa dove fields with a transistor radio listening to Big Al Ciraldo and switching over on commercial breaks to listen to the Uga games (of course, hoping that they were losing!!!)

My favorite memory was shooting doves on a rainy day with a bunch of Georgia fans. Pepper‘s wishbone put a whipping on the pups, in the rain, that day. Also in South Georgia.

Stop the run and then turn around and shove it down their throat, that is what Key dreams about at night lol

2024 we also put their @sses in the dirt running the ball. 260 yards on the ground on 5.5 yds per carry. We were blowing their DL off the ball. I want to say the vast majority of the rushing yards came in regulation.

Those dove hunts are core memories.
