So what did Joseph do?

Regardless of if she punched a player in the face, had inappropriate contact with a player, or stole cheesecakes from a grocery store, this entire thing just makes me sad for both sides of the fence. CMJ and Georgia Tech both.

It's clear that Pan and Fletcher lodged a complaint that was serious enough to get the attention of the GTAA legal counsel at the highest level.

If that were the case, and Coach Jo has been suspended by GT, why are they not with the team? I may be wrong, but it looks like they are showing support for their coach.
Wow, no idea but would be nice of them to support their teammates.

The only answers I could think of: 1)When it’s resolved, they might come back for a new coach should one or both want to play for the new staff put together? 2)Making a stand to the College and A.A., to show solidarity because they felt mistreated? Won’t play until they are certain she is gone?

I agree. If they weren’t playing as long as CMJ is there, they should have never missed a game.

Possible that it is an issue that creates conflict between them and other players and they felt it best just to leave the program entirely, or step away until the matter is resolved.

I think that’s the last possibility. The coach is not gone, she’s suspended. Technically she could be back at any minute.

I’m not sure either one plays here again or for Coach Mark or ?
Pan might have her degree and become a Graduate Transfer(could play internationally). Fletcher could sit out next year and transfer to Michigan.

Would have been surprised if they continued, and especially if they ever return.

I have no idea what's happening, but the last few years have been a disaster for the public perception of our basketball programs

Both could probably play elsewhere immediately with a hardship waiver, depending on what the issue is. Certainly, the coaching drama would qualify. I agree that once you walk away from the team, especially a team that was fighting for a tournament bid, it's hard to ever come back, regardless of why you left in the first place.

I agree, and it will be moot if/or when Coach Jo is forced to settle or let go. Can’t see how the A.D. won’t sign off on their releases(coaching change makes it automatic). Might not be able to keep our two fabulous freshmen. Sorry guys and gals, I can’t fathom how only these two are protesting for CMJ, when we keep hearing about the blowup at Virginia centered around at least these three people after the bad loss.

Them protesting for CMJ is about as likely as Joseph and Dunn actually having been fired for "secondary recruiting violations" which was the official story.
If you've already researched the 1996 Purdue womens athletics scandal and coverup , then you already know that Dunn got a settlement, Joseph didn't.

the only thing that makes any sense to me is joseph had an inappropriate relationship with somebody she shouldnt have.

im guessing lin has been brought up because this wasnt the first time this happened to Joseph career and in this case and the rolls were reversed????????????

could it be that the two young women left the team because they felt pressured by the coach and or the environment created. leaving the team doesnt necessarily mean they did it it in support of the coach. could it be the opposite?

i dont care if she is a lesbian or straight... it is not a good business practice nor is it professional or ethical to become romantically involved with young adults left in your care. m/m f'/m or f/f . if this was the case the parents could be furious.

i hope it goes away quickly so we can move on.

It's funny that the folks who post infrequently post the most informative info.

Odds are that all 3 of the affected parties are gone from the program regardless of the relationships among them.

This just keeps making less sense to me as time goes on.

GT Athletics is not winning any points with me after firing the grad asst.

And you might say my time has made me inclined to view any problem as a likely result of malicious incompetence from someone in a position of power at GT.

Meanwhile, we play down two. Arrrgh.
