As a fan I hate that he is working with them. The other side of that is having a 2 time CFB national champion coach recruiting will make a huge difference. Not only that but to also have a scrub QB and owner of Stetson Bennet Kia Honda dealership point to you as helping him compete for national championships and a heisman.

I have absolutely zero problem with Faulkner being in UGA’s coaching box during the playoffs as long as it doesn’t interfere with his GT duties. We really need to get over this UGA fixation and focus on being in the top half of the ACC at the moment. Until we do this, worrying about UGA is a waste of time.

G-off really screwed up this fan base. People on here are really arguing that we should help ugag win another national title because it would help with our recruiting. Have y’all lost your ****ing minds? Have some some god damned self respect.

Yes, he was already working at UGA. Dan Lanning did it last year, too. He was DC at UGA while recruiting and hiring his staff at Oregon. Working both jobs is the norm in this situation. Again, the UGA/GT thing makes it awkward, but all aspects of this are very common, including splitting time between both jobs.

How many of us have started at a new job while finishing our two weeks at our previous job? I’ve done that multiple times. This is essentially the big time college football version of that.
I have never worked at two places at the same time and I have switched companies numerous times. I have worked for multiple companies who have fired people and escorted them out the door as soon they gave notice they were leaving to go to a competitor.

When I have switched companies, I have had offer letters that I had signed from my new company. But having a contract agreement or signing an offer letter to begin working at a company at a certain date is not the same as working for two companies at the same time.

Yeah, I'm not sure why people always try to compare 'normal' jobs to sports jobs. Similar but not always the same.

And we've all worked at places after notifying them we're leaving. There's sometimes a wind-down of ongoing projects. That's all this is.

Yep. Again, I don’t think anyone here would be thinking twice about this if he hired him from Ohio State and he was finishing his work in the playoffs.

We do it all the time. I have probably, on average, 15-20 active litigation matters that I'm involved with. These matters are in varying points of the process. There are many matters that I have been disclosed as a named expert, submitted an expert report (on my company's letterhead), and have provided deposition testimony. The contract is between the law firm and my company. I am only an employee and I have a non-compete clause in my contract. If I go to another firm, there will be an agreement that if the law firm wants to retain me as their expert after I leave, that I will work through my former company as an hourly contract employee, while working for my new company. This is standard practice in the forensic consulting industry. It doesn't always happen that way, but that depends more on your company than the industry.
