I'm curious to see how people move from STH to stinger mobile pass.

$195 for all 7 games vs $405. Half price for all the same games.
Even if you'd prefer to sit lower its $325 for lower level. I know a lot of people who are switching to stinger mobile this year which obviously doesn't change attendance, but I'm just curious what the expectation is.

Like lets say you're a season ticket holder in a cheap section. Whats the incentive to keep season tickets vs switching to the stinger mobile pass. I guess yea you have a set seat, but as long as you're sitting with friends that probably doesn't matter too much. You get athletic points but the # of athletic points you need to be relevant can pretty much only be obtained by donating thousands of dollars to the school and if they're in the cheaper sections they're probably not doing that.

I assume stinger mobile will get more expensive as more people move to that, but in the short term you could see an attendance boost from people who are penny pinchers or even casual or sidewalk fans talking advantage of a cheaper ticket option.

I agree the attractiveness of buying season tickets in non-prime locations is greatly reduced by the availability of the Stinger Mobile Pass. I wonder if you can purchase season parking with the SMP or if it requires one to be a season ticket holder. We have tickets in 109 and really consider part of the cost as our little contribution to the program. Plus we do enjoy those we sit around. From a strict financial perspective we would be better off buying tickets on the secondary market.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to with “season parking”, but I’m assuming you mean a paid in advance parking pass for the same lot all season, bought through the AA. Now, I don’t know how it works exactly for high level points holders, as I’m pretty low on that totem pole, but with the exception of maybe parking at Peters deck and possibly other select locations, I will say that purchasing parking through the AA is much higher than pre paying for parking (at the same lots) through ParkMobile.com (which is the same service that handles parking passes/distribution for the AA). I pointed this out the the AA this year. The same parking lots/passes I was offered through the AA as a season pass were available through ParkMobile (again, the same service the AA uses) for 25% cheaper for the season. You had to do a little legwork, as you had to manually purchase all the games’ passes individually, but it could all be done online and in advance of the first game of the season. So it was literally the exact same thing, but marked up 25% through the AA, yet marketed as a convenience. Now again, high level points holders probably have exclusive access to parking areas that aren’t offered to the lower points totals, but this is/was the case for every lot I had available to me through the AA. In fact, as soon as the dates are published, you can check ParkMobile and see the pricing.

As a side note, I didn’t use either option this year. Used SpotHero instead. Never paid more than $15 for any game, and that was only one. The rest were under $10 a game, most of the time $5. We all had the same lot all year, and tailgated fine. But the parking for all of this is quite a game, based on how/where you purchased. Even looking on spothero, it was interesting to see parking decks/lots for $10 or less a game that were on ParkMobile (the AAs preferred service and the one they use) for $20-$30. For the same games, both prepaid.

I agree there is no point in buying season parking for non-prime locations. Coming from east of the interstate all of the prime parking locations are a nightmare after to game so we opt to usually ride Marta and if we drive we park somewhere east of the interstate. I would rather walk 5-10 extra minutes than sit in a half hour of traffic.

Yeah, the Stinger Pass vs. non-prime location season tickets is also a bit of a head scratcher, and one I’m weighing out right now. The $325 Stinger Mobile pass, lower level seating, including the ND game includes better seating than my season tickets if I renew them, at least according to my ticket rep. Even though my season tickets, even before Tech Fund contribution, cost more than the Stinger pass.

I’m not really sure who comes up with our pricing/plans/seating, but a genius they are not...

The Stinger Pass gives the school more control of the secondary market (you can't sell tickets for games you don't go to) and the price is probably commensurate with that. I believe they're selling them in limited numbers so they are probably trying to figure out exactly how it affects pricing of tickets, stubhub, etc.

I have gone from sitting on the 45 yard line at BDS (section 225) to the 10 yard line at MBS (section 240). I sent an email to Todd complaining about how he assigned seats at MBS. I'm pissed off.

Have you seen the seating chart at MBS that maps BDS season tickets? Where do you suggest they map 225 to?

Those are excellent seats in the 200 level. If you really want to be closer to the 50 you could save $70 a tickets and opt for the 300 level but not worth it IMHO. We have Atlanta United season tickets in 241 and the view is excellent.

I was surprised the MBS seat selection process was 1st based on your BDS section, and then your Tech Fund points. That seems backwards to me. When they allocated seats in MP, it was based on your Tech Fund points. I'm not sure why they didn't use the same process at MBS.

What is MP? Seats for the Tennessee game were distributed by section then by points similar to how they are doing the ND game. Big difference is we have almost the entire stadium this time instead of half the stadium minus all PSL holder who opted to buy tickets.

By far, the easiest option is to drive to Lindbergh, park free, and Marta to the game.

Ok. I am a STH and have seats in Section 107, 45 yd line, at BDS. I no longer live in Atlanta and don’t see that I can go to every game. I do want to go to ND and Clemson. All others ... negotiable.

If anyone wants to talk, and maybe take all others, I’m open to possibilities. PM me.

No drive in and feel the pain. :) . My seats at MBS is showing section 123 would it be better to take seats in the 300's views from section 123 don't look great.
I think College Park station is the furthest south station with parking. Driving to HE Holmes would avoid the transfer at 5 points.
