I realize it's not "cool" to be...or even appear to be... happy on the scheduling stuff... but opening ACC play at Pitt is a good 'road' start. Extra time to prep for VT and UNC and getting Miami and UVA to finish the ACC schedule at HOME. I'll take it!!

...ok enough of that ... keep venting at the evil ACC empire, brothers and sisters.

Also, my prediction on North Carolina was pretty close. I actually predicted we'd get a Bye Week before them, but its 9 days off due to a Thursday night game before. North Carolina is predicted to finish last in the entire 14 team conference. They may not win a conference game. So I figured we'd get an advantage against them - the one team it won't matter on. LOLOLOLOL. So predictable.

I'm a fan of the schedule. My only complaint is that Virginia gets to play Liberty before us. I do like that even though Virginia, Clemson, and Duke basically get byes beforde us, we get them all at home.

We don't quite suck as much anymore.

I really don't see much to complain about. 2 road games are on weekdays where the home teams usually suck. Clemson early is probably a good thing. Us not getting an extra week on anyone is really the only thing that sucks.

We do get an extra 2 days for UNC and an extra day of rest for Duke which are silver linings.

Clemson plays Ga Southern before us but how come two in the Coastal get open dates and Duke?
Yes, Clemson plays a less physical team at home while Tech plays a very physical team on the road the week before playing each other. At least it's not SC State like two years ago.

Duke has a bye before us but they are the only one and they are coming off a VT game and we atleast get an extra day. Bye comes at the right time for us too given its before a thursday and an extra week before bud foster is always good for us. Duke also has to play a team that gets a bye before them when they don't so its at least fair.

I wouldn't exactly call southern less physical. They will be running the new mexico version of the triple option and physicality and effort were not their problem last year, it was really **** defensive coaching and a hamstrung OC by summers. Southern will lose yes, but clemson might feel it.

All in all, it is not terrible... Clemson after GaSo doesn't bother me because that is a game we probably don't win anyway and it fills up an early season slot. We play better after a few weeks anyway. The only thing to really complain about is how the only team to play a patsy in week 11 magically manages to get us in week 12.

Between Tech and Clemson, which is more likely to have the first team still playing in the fourth quarter the week before playing each other?
