Hyperbole? Seriously? Calling GT your dream job when it's not* is a dishonest attempt to ingratiate yourself with the fanbase.

*We don't know this to be the case, but the fact that it's being discussed makes me restrained in my enthusiasm.
It probably is his "dream job" at this point in his career, being from the ATL area. He didn't say "it's my dream destination and I'll never want to coach anywhere else."

Why is this being discussed? Who cares if this is his dream job or not. If he does really well here and some large program, like Alabama, offers him a ridiculous amount of money to coach there then he should take it like any one of us would.

Yup. If Bama poaches him he will have been a wild success. If that happens hopefully he takes Key with him :p

There are several regions outside of Tech's backyard....
Northeast Corridor....Boston - DC
Pittsburgh Chicago / Cinncinati- Detroit
South Florida
Texas
Southern California
We should have specialists concentrating on each region

Look at Penn State's recruiting, they show what can be done in the NE.

The Football team just delivered Papa Johns to all of the Greek Houses on campus to promote Coach Collins. Seems they’re doing a good job of recruiting students to turn out to the games as well.
Cremins recruited the fraternities when he showed up in the 80’s. That worked out pr

But that's just what they did... and got away with it. The NCAA is just looking at how best to close the loop hole. I think the NCAA wants to stay as far away from getting into the academic underbelly as possible; in fact I'd bet that in a perfect world they'd like to avoid it altogether, which is why university leaders are involved in potential rules changes.

the NCAA and SACS did not have joint hearings. UNC told SACS that no degrees were awarded based off of the fake classes. UNC told the NCAA that degrees were awarded to both athletes and non-athletes based on the fake classes. UNC flat out lied to at least one of the organizations. If they had been required to present in joint hearings, then they would have had penalties from at least one. I think loss of accreditation for such circumstances would be the most appropriate outcome instead of NCAA penalties. Loss of accreditation would affect the $3 billion school instead of the instead of the $96 million athletic department.

After reading through this thread, I don't understand why I must either believe that: Any recruit(no star thru 4 star) recruited by the previous coach is a bum or that any recruit(no star thru 4 star) recruited by the current coach is a bum. Why can I not have great respect for CPJ and feel good about what CGC is currently doing? Why can't I support all of the athletes recruited by either coach as GT men?
