Trust me...that was not the intention. Nothing about that should give the impression of a moral victory.

It was more about lamenting how we lost to a team that we shouldn't have (even though our PG and best overall player was hobbled ;) )

Everyone wanted to pump UGA up like they were some powerhouse and made it seem as though Crean was on the verge of raising the Phoenix.

He can't win in the SEC with the nations # 1 recruit, and GT fans were slobbering all over him.

We were also missing two starters (Jose trying to play on one leg, and Jordan not yet eligible).

We've seen plenty of recent examples of having the potential #1 NBA draft pick (which is the consensus with Edwards right now) does not make you an NCAA team. Ben Simmons at LSU, Markelle Fultz at Washington are 2 recent examples.

Losing a 20 pt second half lead to a sub .500 team is a bad look.
The thing to watch with UGA is not Edwards, its Hammonds. When he plays well, like he did against GT, UGA usually wins, when he doesn't they lose.

IMO Crean is not doing a good job of coaching Edwards, he pretty much allows him to play hero ball and shoot whenever he wants. Last night is a good example. He had 23 pts, but on 24 shots including 3-12 from three point range where he is shooting 30% for the year and 29% in SEC play. He takes half his shots from 3, even though he is really tough to stop going to the basket with his size and athleticism. He's not going to the FT line much because he isn't driving to the basket. He's not an efficient scorer, he's a volume scorer. Alot of the threes he takes are low percentage shots.

You know the same one that was used for D-Wade and Oladipo..LOL

It is sad to see how bad basketball is in the state og GA given the amount of talent.

GT is currently the highest rated team from GA in all the major systems, UGA is second and GA ST third.

I watched most of the second half UGA collapse - Red is spot on (as usual). Florida played good, but UGA shot selection and discipline was very poor most of the second half. At least last night, Edwards was settling for long threes, sometimes contested, and not using his ability to drive (and get fouled or score inside). Edwards is a high lottery talent but not being used in ways to make UGA as good as they could be this year.
