FOUR freshman pitchers combine for the 3 hit shutout (really 2 hit.... that was a big E in 9th)

We just beat the worst team on schedule. We should all become big fans of St Peter's. Their success is our success going forward (RPI wise).

Nice win!! It's always good to win on opening day and the way we did it was impressive. No strikeouts, our guys were patient, and we scored runs in multiple ways. The freshmen pitchers also performed at an extremely high level.

I was especially impressed with Barons patience at the plate and lack of swing and miss. One at bat he fouled off 4 pitches and layed off 2 breaking pitches out of the zone. PROGRESS!

In my opinion, Ramsey is the key to our future being successful. Plate discipline has increased dramatically since he arrived last year and he brings loads of fresh energy to the dugout and recruiting. Hoping he’s our next head coach.

It dropped with this win. ( tic).

Great to have baseball back. St Peters looked competent. We have yet to be tested. Only weakness I saw was Holland's passed balls. Rest was all good.

Cincinnati lost (9-8) to Ga State in 10inn yesterday. No clue what that means for the Jackets today. Their projected started pitched in 5 games (all starts) last year with an ERA of 1.86.

In a perfect world we would have scored @FredJacket s predicted 16 runs. Defense looked good, like this DP at the end. Good news is we turned two DPs, bad news is Maxwell walked 4 and hit one. One wild pitch should have been a run for St Peters but the runner stayed on third while the ball ricocheted almost back to first.

Nice to have a solid first game with so many Fr.
