But, there are also those who did live up to (or surpassed) the internet expectations:
Nesbitt
Dwyer
Thomas
D.Morgan
Burnett (both of them)
Attaochu
Gotsis
Shaq
Godhigh
Orwin
Smelter
JT
... and this list could go on a lot longer than the other one.
Every program has players who bust. Every single one.

My Uncle by marriage was from Waycross high school and he went to tech and played Wrecker back for Tech and was a Team captain in either 1966 or 1967.He held the record for tackles in one game for quite awhile (17 I believe ) . Now I am 75 now so memory could be off somewhat. His name is David Barber and I am only replying to inform all that we have had other really good players from the area.
My hat's off to anybody who can still talk about such things as "My uncle by marriage ...." My barber knows everybody, everybody, and can identify for them instantly, as in "that was your mama's third cousin on her daddy's side ...."

In the post practice presser yesterday after practice, CPJ said he refers to Dedrick Mills and Marcus Marshall as both being co-first stringers. That's just how far along Dedrick Mills has come. And he also backed that up saying KirVonte and Quaide continue to play well...and with Marcus Allen said he really feels he has 5 guys who are going to see playing time at BB.

He didn't say he has 5 guys that will see playing time, he just said he has 5 guys that can play the BBACK spot well. Only way that happens is if we blow a lot of teams out imo.

I was thinking the same thing cheese but we have a bit of a glut at AB also. Lots of numbers at WR to figure out as well. But yeah....if one, or two even, of the Bbacks are better than our top 6 AB....move em on over. WR is a bigger move and probably less likely. Coaches probly have a good handle on it.

I wonder when it would make sense to move somebody? 5 is great depth, but are we suffering somewhere else because of it?
Well Mills is supposed to be just as good a linebacker as he is a rb., but!!!

I bet Quaide would be a beast on kick and punt return team. (blocking)

Allen is a senior, so he's not moving. Quaide is probably BB all the way. Benson makes a lot of sense at A back given his size and speed. I expect to see that happen if the M&Ms stay healthy and fulfill their promise.

When thinking about depth, it's important to remember that most positions have cushion because of similarity of responsibility.

I'd be for moving Benson, if he isn't seeing the field enough.

But … I'm betting he will as a kick return specialist. He's exactly what you need for that: a guy who's at full speed at one step and who's hard to knock off his feet. That doesn't mean he'll be off the list at BB; just that I bet he'll see most of his work this year on returns.

Now, watch: he'll end up sharing the position at BB. It always happens that way when I do this.

Imagine Mills at BB, MM at AB, and Q at AB. That would be a hard group to stop, with the blocking ability of Q, power of Mills, and speed/moves of MM. That would be a lot for teams to prepare for. I know this isn't going to happen, but it's a thought, but then again I really really like the guys we already have at a back I just think it would be a good change of pace.

Maybe we should put in a little Oklahoma style wishbone using three BBs at once, play some power. It wouldn't be hard for us to put in, but it would be tough for a defence to prepare for. I feel like our opponents are getting kind of comfortable with what we do.

The "pump the brakes" sentiment in regards to our enthusiasm on Mills is understandable, and I share it to a certain extent. However, I am in the camp that believes CPJ shoots pretty straight when asked about specific players. And if he is willing to say MM and DM are 1A and 1B, then count me among the optimists. I was as high on MM after last season as anyone, and thought he was our best BB prospect since JD. I doubt he has regressed, so if DM is pushing to start over him, with QW, MA, and KB still getting praise from CPJ, we are in really good (hypothetical) shape!

That'd be a new look of "Heavy set" for goal lines

You have to ask that at the next coach's call in show. I'd love to hear coach's response.

Mark it down: we will line up Q as Bback and MM at Aback. Marcus will then motion to an I, and we'll play some smash mouth.
