Disappointed, everything fell apart tonight
Stop running the bawl up the middle if it hasn't worked all game
More disappointed in some of y'all ready to burn the place down over a bad game.
We got a lot of season left , bye week now to rest and re group.

The sky isn't falling , vent and log off for the night
"A bad game"? So far we have played two teams that are not dysfunctional and lost both of them. This team is maybe a top 50 team but I doubt it. We will be fortunate to win 6 games and go to some lousy bowl game in early December, if we are lucky.

Once again, Key making bad in game coaching decisions and bad time management. It happens consistently with him. That's my one big gripe on Key. His constant weaknesses are game management and clock management.

We are not nearly as good as I expected. Geez. Bye week. Yay

This was a tough one… I’ll support Key and will continue to trust the process. However, he’s got to take responsibility for the horrible game management in the 4th - Calls a timeout on 4th and 14 just to run out a 49 yard FG try that even if he got off cleanly, we all know he wasn’t going to make it. Punt it, pin them back deep; especially after they just made a dumb play in their own end zone.

Lastly, not bringing your big quarterback or going under center to get 1 yard. Thats on Key and his trust for this OL that got pushed around today.

We have to be able to get a yard.

It doesn’t have to be done by running up the middle.

We gave up a 4th and 1 that notably did NOT go up the middle since we were playing well against their run.
Agreed, I don’t mind trying, but after two times Key needed to recognize we have to try something different. Boyd and Blackburn should be getting fades in goalline plays going forward.

Odd game, was winnable. We gifted two TDs one backwards pass and blocked fg that bounced right into Lville players hands. Then that weird pass interference play where ball bounced up and went into Lville WRs hands for TD. Some questionable redzone calls as well. Ultimately our inability to run up middle cost us game. We have to be able to get 1 yard running and could not do so multiple times.
I agree with your comments but we didn't have to run up the middle on 3rd and 4th down. felt like we really got way too conservative

This was the worst coaching I've seen since Geoff left. We have no identity on offense, hence why the decisions to go for it on 4th down were so inconsistent. We knew the defense was going to struggle, but the real problem is the OL has regressed and the play calling has been stubborn, predictable and uncreative. The game management was awful. After questionable game managing against Syracuse and now today, I no longer trust Key. We seem to have some serious issues that are only getting worse.
Key’s issue is he trusts his OL way too much. He’s miles ahead of TFG but he’s got a lot of improvement to make.
I still think we can get 6-7 wins out of this season.

Hard to do the 1 yard up the middle with small backs and ol having trouble with surge. Need a crease that wasn't there all day.

Your loyalty is admirable. My preseason prediction was winning 6 games. I think it is very possible we could win only 5. We simply do not look like a good football team right now.
I hate to say this, but it feels to me that CBF has gotten lazy. I have seen nothing new on O since week 0, despite the obvious scheming DCs are doing for us.,

we got beat bad blocking and poor coaching. game. But that does not mean I want to fire anyone, and I still think we can make a bowl, we still have Duke,UNC,UVa and NC state and I'm not too sure ND is that good If the players don't give I won't give up.
Certainly no reason to quit drinking either.

Is it Faulkner or Key? (Not rhetorical, I don’t know. But my gut says Key based on what he’s expressed as his preference.)

My exact thoughts. If I’m Pyron I’m pissed after this one. If I’m King I’m pissed after this one. How hard is it to lineup under center with Biggers playing halfback? Philly has shown everyone it’s not a complicated play. Strong QB being pushed by DLinemen works.
