I think Buster being at UGA is used to the OL getting push even if the opponents stack the box. I don't think we have that same capability. I think we need to be less predictable on run vs. pass regardless of down and yardage situation.
I think Buster knows exactly what we have relative to what uga had. I don't think he's being fooled. Our guys need to execute. I believe they can do it, and apparently, so does he.

Since King waited too long to throw you can put some blame on him. But being fairly early in the game with such poor field position calling that tripple option was a bad call period. That is a high risk play. It is more on the coaches.
I agree that he waited too long to throw.
I’m sure he never saw the defender… but the defender made a play that resulted in a 14 point swing. Watch it again… If that ball is delivered, we had the block on the corner and the Lville safeties were 100% downhill… there is nothing but green grass and opportunity if we complete it. Lville was 100% pursuit on King and if that OLB doesn’t throw up a hand…
Yeah… high risk, high reward. But I’m not sure it’s really that risky… just a great individual play by Lville OLB.

Rutherford would have been gone. I'm with you and we actually had it set up very well. Just a great play by the defender.

I’ve watched it probably ten times. It was incredibly risky. There were far more things that could go wrong than right. Haynes was a yard or two past the LOS throwing a lateral off balance through traffic to a receiver. If that throw isn’t perfect it’s a fumble. Even if it doesn’t get tipped and scooped there was a very high chance of a turnover. It was just a really bad decision. Had it worked out it still would have been a really bad decision, but we’d all be laughing about how it worked out. Whatever, we lost on mistakes when we generally looked like the better team. Move on. If we win the next two and then we have a chance to capitalize big time against ND.

IMPO, you don’t make that lateral in that space on your own 5 yard line. Though there was an opportunity as well, the risk probability and impact were both very high.
