I love it when people like you have no idea what they are talking about. Interception in OT? There was no OT in the VT game. You probably don't remember this, since you don't seem to remember much accurately, but TW scored what should have been game tying TDs in both games. Against VT he through a 42 yard pass to Melton and had another nice 13 yard run to get in the red zone. After we gave up a TD to VT, TW was at it again. 17 yard run on third and 17. 38 yard pass to Cone. Couple more 8/9 yard runs.
lol you're talking about 2010? Everyone else assumed you were talking about 2012 since 1) it's the one often brought up most often and 2) you said game tying/leading. Considering neither 2010 UGA nor 2010 VT would have been leading scores while 2012 VT would you're the one that caused confusion.
And 2010 VT was the same story as 2012. He played bad most of the game, had one good drive, a chance to extend the game/get points in OT, and threw an interception sealing the game. Sorry but having one good drive to tie the game, which you do realize means he would have to go out and do it again right?, and then choking when the game is on the line later doesn't make you clutch.
If you want to focus on clutch situations then do so. He threw interceptions with the game on the line in all 3 games. You want to focus on the rest of the game and try to argue it was on the other parts of the team as to why we were in that situation then fine. But against VT in 2010 he came in with a 14-7 lead, defense forced two punts to start the second half, and it wasn't until we were down 7 that we had our only, out of 5, drives for a score. We were in that situation because we couldn't do anything in the second half offensively.
Against VT 2012. 17 total points and 7 came off a short field set up by STs. We were only in that situation because our offense was bad that game.
Against UGA in 2010. We go down 28-21 then a fumble is returned for a TD and they go up by 14. The defense then gets a 3 and out, -8 yard drive, to give us a chance to tie it. Then after we missed the XP, the defense gets a fumble giving the ball back to our offense needing only a FG to win. Instead we turn it over on downs getting -6 yards on the drive and forcing our D to give up a TD so that we could have a chance. It's on the offense that they needed a TD instead of a FG because they had the chance with only needing a FG and couldn't cut it. Then on the drive in crunch time we get to teh UGA side with ~40 seconds left and it ends the way games so often did. In a Tevin INT.
