Back to "recruiting being the magic genie" fantasy
It's not a magic genie fantasy. It's a tangible part of college football that is just as vital to consistently winning as coaching and player development is. We have just teenagers committed to playing for us that can see the bigger picture, trying taking cue from them and at least give the new staff enough of a chance

I know that for the people that want CDP gone that it won't matter what they read on a message board to the contrary of what they think. But to those that want him gone please understand that the offense we're seeing this year is probably not going look like our offense next season when we get more of the players that fit what he wants to do. Give this team, but specifically the offense in this case, time to transition. If he fails with "his" players then, by all means, scream for him to be gone. Sh**, I'll scream with you.
So which plays are we saving?

Once again the demand for Cadillac recruiting on a Yugo budget......comical.
So why do we have a recruiting class that's 20 spots better than last year with the same "Yugo budget"? I agree we do need to spend more just to be on par with almost all the teams in our conference, but you can't deny that there was/is a marked uptick in our recruiting, especially in the metro area. A prime example is the school I graduated from years ago in Creekside. We tried for years at recruiting from there with the last staff to no avail. Now in the first full recruiting cycle of a new staff we get one for sure and have a very good shot at two others. I would have loved to see what CPJ could have done if we spent money like he had been asking for years but that's not going to happen

Once again you take a shot at the new coaches and when you are called on it, we get a snarky response that actually reinforces the fact of "poor recruiting" by the last regime. Recruiting is the lifeblood of a program. Get over it and the 3O was a serious impingement to recruiting. Evidenced by the lack of a junior and senior laden program.

My #1 take away from last game:

Georgia Tech was not ready to play: any team that comes out and has a delay of game on their very first play, at home, has a serious coaching problem. Completely and totally undisciplined.

IMHO we have entered into the Bill Lewis Era Part II......Watching his presser from sums up how I feel about Coach Collins. He looks like the guy who spent his life applying for his dream job and then when he got it was sorely unprepared for it - like a dog chasing a car who then catches one. What do you do now ?

There's zero excuse for a delay on the first snap. Zero. Telling us constantly how we are getting better in all phases of the game every day ? C'mon. You're in the 10th game and this was our worst performance - I say that over the Citadel game because we've had 6 more games and additional weeks of practice. If we have a process to improve, we aren't seeing any results. The other ACC games (Miami, Pitt, UVA) I think say more about how bad the ACC is this year. We are likely to get one win (barring NCST pulling a GT on Thursday night) in a historically bad conference.

I get that he has to try to stay positive and there's no doubt the injuries hurt (although I thought our strength and conditioning was supposed to make our players "elite"), but the last game was an embarrassment on a new level.

"I don't care about results, I care about Process." I'm a GT fan - I don't expect National Championships and yes, process matters. Recruit good people, get them educated, don't embarrass the school - but results do matter, and sorry Coach, your results are a disaster in year 1.

I have been saying this for 2 months now. I think Collins can talk the talk, but cannot walk the walk. He landed a great job. He gets overpaid to do very little. Wished I could get paid to fail.

The previous regime couldn't be bothered to drive around metro ATL on the recruiting trail, according to numerous HS coaches interviewed since PJ quit. Not sure what "more money" would've done. It's a lazy excuse that supports the anti-GC agenda.

I thought we increased the budget slightly a couple years ago, and much more as part of the Collins hire?
