The big question mark is who the Orange bowl takes az the opponent.....if it is SEC.....then the Citrus goes Big10 / SEC....that moves everyone down a slot and Tech ends up in the Military Bowl. I agree about Pinstripe so it is a bit of a toss up between UM and Tech between the Sun and Tax.
I'd assume Michigan or Wisconsin. The SEC hardly has anyone worthy of the Sugar Bowl let alone the Sugar and Orange.

Yeah AE87. So if none of the tier 1 bowl committees have mentioned Georgia Tech in their top 4, then it sounds like all this is just conjecture.
Picturing the bowl reps getting together and whoever draws the short straw takes Tech

I'm thinking like you, Tech is never really liked by the bowls. Remember the Music City bowl took Virginia b/c they said theycould sell more tickets than Tech.

I have no idea if this has been posted (and I really don't care):

So we can safely say we will be in one of the following 3 bowls (Belk, Gator or Pinstripe) not the SUN or Military!!!

It looks like we will get to the Gator if:
UM goes RA, VT goes Belk, UNC to SUN and PITT to the Pinstripe.

To the Belk Bowl if:
UM/VT to the RA, VT /UM to the Gator and UNC/PITT to SUN and PITT/UNC to the Pinstripe.

We go to the Pinstripe if

UM/VT to the RA, VT/UM to the Gator and UNC to BELK and PITT to the SUN

Somehow I think we will be in the Pinstripe unless they want PITT so bad that the SUN takes UNC, in which case VT and GT will battle between the Gator and Belk

No. It is not safe. IF the Orange takes a SEC team......the ACC is out of the Citrus....that moves everyone down....and likely means Tech in the Military. Sun will not take UNC.....they are pretty much a lock for Belk

I think Michigan ends up in the orange bowl vs F$U. However, there fans still think they should be in the playoffs and are in complete denial that they lost to Ohio St this past Saturday.

I honestly think Michigan is one of the top 4 teams in the country, and there was a ton of controversy with the officiating of that game. I want the number 4 team do be whoever has the best chance at beating Bama, and imo that's Michigan. But I don't think they get it unless Washington losses. Michigan beat Wisconsin and penn state so I think the committee would take that into consideration, plus they like Michigan obviously because they had them in the top 4 over other 1 loss teams.

Yea there was some bad calls in the game but, they did blow a 10 point lead. They put themselves in a spot to let the refs determine the game. But, you are right though. They probably are the number 4 team in the country and have the best shot at beating Alabama. But the gap between Alabama and teams 2-4 is so wide I don't think it matters who they play.

I agree Bama is way better, but imo if someone can get to their QB consistantly you can maybe beat them because he would start making some
Costly mistakes as a young guy.

Well while all the talking heads offhandedly say Alabama is the clear #1, you could make an argument that Ohio State has a better resume. In fact I started one on Saturday Down South on Sunday after the AP poll came out but *before* the CFP rankings...

Ohio State should jump Alabama in this week's CFP rankings.
That's right because the Buckeyes went 3-1 verses the Top 8 teams in the country, and whipped #23 for good measure (latest AP poll). Toughest 5-pack of opponents in the country by far.

What has Alabama done?
-Barely escaped losing to Ole Miss who won't even go bowling.
-Eked out a W over #21 LSU.
-Beat an overrated #18 Auburn whose ONLY quality win is a last second reprieve over #21.
-oh yeah they whipped #10, but it was the first game of the season so you can pretty-much throw that one out. Congratulations on "going undefeated" against that soft schedule, but hopefully the committee will see through the bs and put OSU in the top spot...

But of course now the latest CFP has overrated Auburn, LSU, and inexcusable Tennessee is still in there. Disgusting SEC favoritism.

You are correct... This is all with the bet that the OB takes a BIG10 team (Michigan, Wisco, or PSU), I do think that UNC could go to the SUN as on their website they list PITT or UNC. Also VT will be playing in Orlando for the ACCCG, so I can see UM taking the RA Bowl slot and VT taking the Belk or Gator bowl slot...

What I do not know is who the Pinstripe wants, If they want PITT then GT has hope, if not GT to the Pinstripe (I do not like NYC in December brrr), and if the OB somehow decides to bypass the BIG10 for Florida or Auburn (not sure why they would), than I do see GT in the Military bowl hands down!! They said they want us and it is the best of the rest!!

My opinion, with a 4-team playoff, if you don't win your conference, you don't deserve a shot. PERIOD!
Then you set yourself up for the possibility of crapy games. That's not really fair to teams that play in a confrence that's ten times better than another conference. The big ten has 4 teams that are in the top 10. The only way this would be fair imo is to switch everything to an NFL style make 7 divisions there are currently 64 teams in the power 5 conferences, make ND join one and take from other conferences to make two new ones, and then add 5 teams that are lobbying to be apart of a power conference. Split each conference into two brackets where everybody plays everybody in their bracket twice, that's eight games then add two cross over conference games that switch every year and then two out of conference games. then take the winner from each conference and give the number one team a bye for the playoffs. This insures you have a better idea of who is truly the better team in a conference because they are playing each other twice. The way it's done now gives way to much leeway for who the best teams truly are. I personally would rather watch a Ohio state (who won't play for a championship) over penn state play Alabama. I know this will probably never happen but I believe this would be the only way to not have controversy.
