Oh come on you can't honestly believe that. Can you imagine the bitchfest you guys would have thrown if we lost to BCU and were eliminated from the regional without starting our best pitcher in either game? It's all you guys would talk about for months.

I think some of you guys are so obsessed with your distaste of the coach at this point that you're starting to define your fandom by it and view every decision he makes as wrong regardless of what the decision is. Sometimes before he even makes it. I mean we're whining about starting our best pitcher in a loser go home game when we've all admitted we have no faith in anyone on the staff. Seriously?

No one wanted to. But need to win this one to get to another one. Hall said before the game he wanted to start Gorst in the next game if he could.

We are having a tough time in the 6th. Walk, hit, fielders choice run, two run error by Gorst throwing to first, single for run. Now 5-4. Need this win.

Update: End of 6 5-4. We need some runs. Get enough and we can pull Gorst early and use him again. I think Gold is cooked from the heat yesterday and the 107 pitches. Won't see him till .......

Parr did a damn good job. Hope he's back next year.

Understand it, but don't agree with it. Chances to beat UF just decreased tremendously. Should have tried to win this one without Gorst. If we survive, who now starts this evening?

We might not even get the 2nd game off today. Weather forecast doesn't look good for game #2 today. So might as well use Gorst in relief today and get the win. He may still be available for long relief tomorrow.

UConn going to their fourth pitcher, their ace reliever nonetheless. They aren't saving anything either for Florida.

7th, GT has one on second (sac after English single) and one out. Kel at the plate ...... (please make me look stupid....)

Jesus Christ.

  • Peurifoy gets a lead off double after hitting the short stop.
  • Sac bunt by Justus. Error by UConn to score Peurifoy. Justus ends up @ second.
  • 6-5 GT
  • Bailey sac bunt to get Justus to third. One out.
  • Gonzo at the plate gets a 4 pitch walk. That is R E S P E C T (and sets up the DP).
  • English single --- RBI ----- 7-5 GT
  • Craport fielders choice gets to first and Gonzo to third. English out at second.
  • Kel has fly out to end inning.
  • Three outs to Florida!!!
