This article from ESPN suggests the coaching carousel is going to be much lighter this year due to COVID-19

It's too soon to tell, but the men's basketball coaching carousel should be much lighter than normal. Unless there's an obvious need for a dismissal, athletic directors and university boards likely will be cautious about making changes after such an abrupt and unusual end to the season. Also, they have many more things to worry about with their entire athletic programs essentially shut down for the spring.

"Has to be slower than expected," a coaching agent said. "Really bad look [to make a move now]. There could be a late cycle once things calm on the virus front."

What does Texas do with Shaka Smart? Texas had been seen as the trigger school for the 2020 coaching cycle, but few would be shocked if athletic director Chris Del Conte tables this decision for another year.

No way Brownell was getting fired when they return most of their current roster and bring in two 4* forwards.

Pitino might be the first one to be saved by the current crisis. No Power 6 coaches have been fired yet.

The 2 to watch for this year in the ACC have always been Christian and Manning. Two 6th year coaches not really getting anywhere. We know Wake has a big buyout (actually a fully guaranteed contract) to deal with. I do wonder about the appetite right now. Just like most schools the Wake board has been saying for months that the 'big donors' were willing to pony up the funds to get rid of Manning and go after a 'name' coach. I tend to believe that once a coach has actually been fired.

Another thought with 'big donors' across the country in general. With what has happened with the economy the last 3 weeks, how much money have these 'big donors' lost in the market and are they still willing to shell out the bucks or are they more likely to hold their money close knowing we are likely going to go through a recession. The market officially turned to a bear market this week. First time in over a decade.

Majerle got a number of players we were recruiting over the past few years, and still couldn’t hold on at Grand Canyon U.

He has a 60% winning percentage overall and 65% in the WAC, but he has never made an NIT or NCAA. Made either the CBI or CIT in 5 of 7 seasons. This year was his first losing season after 4 straight seasons of 20+ wins.

If Keno Davis leaves Central Mich or is ever let go any time soon, Dan could get a look from his former school

Soo...not considering the fact people dont like Pitino bc of all the strippers and other ****...without considering any of that background stuff just strictly focused on basketball...we would be better off w Pitino as coach, right? He would get us back where we want to be? Ignoring all his off court issues
