Most telling part for me ...
The University of Nevada Board of Regents canceled its ad hoc Committee on Athletics meeting scheduled for Wednesday and full board meeting planned for Thursday, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. All the contractual information would have been needed by Friday, and now the regents will wait until a coach is hired before scheduling a meeting, the Review-Journal said, adding that they probably will schedule a full board meeting only when a coach is named to decide whether to approve the contract.

That's a long walk home (proverbial) for UNLV after a much-publicized pursuit. Also, it's not automatic that Cronin is going back to CIN. Saw his name linked to Pitt as well. Dude's looking to get out.

Not sure we'd be as brazen as UNLV was in this case.

Extension? For Gregory? Sports is such a strange world. If none of it is guaranteed, then give him something to try to trick the recruits.
