I think King’s shoulder, although better, was not 100%. I don’t think King could make that post throw, which is why it got shelved. The interception against Vandy is a throw he completes with more zip on the ball (like he had last year). I think his lack of arm strength gave the defender time to step in front and pick that throw off. So, I agree with you.
King tweaked his shoulder in FSU. Its what key meant when he said we were banged up.

He aggravated in the first half of the UNC game on an uncalled roughing. But he was already tweaked even as early as Georgia State.
Holy mackeral King s shoulder was injured in game 1. I did not hear Key say King was banged and that he tweaked his shoulder.

I spent time w King after Miami where he did not pass but ran UTM. He said he was really bruised up but was getting better each week and should be full go by uga.

He took a vicious hit in the uga game. Wonder why Key didnt keep playing #2 qb
He beat ncst on late scramble run for big gain and he had only 1 interception. He had a darn good game for a freshman.

Not sure what you're suggesting, but, against Vandy, he didn't throw like he threw last year. Just my observation.

Key said "We are banged up" After the fact that was obvious in reference to King and to Haynes.

Against Syracuse King three 39 passes. We had 24 running plays including 6 by King.

Interesting take.
We threw the crap out of the ball on the last two TD possessions.

We fell behind in part by trying and failing to RUN THE BAWLLL in very predictable situations. Give the Cuse coach his due on that. Key said basically "we just need to be physical" and Cuse said "ok we see what you wanna do, we're gonna stop it." Other than King's runs the RB room had 18 carries for 45 yards. Not a ton of carries, but when you can pass for 6+ per attempt, you gotta take what you're given earlier. And, especially, not assume it's gonna start working in short yardage situations.

Back to Buster…

He seems to be the fan favorite over there for the most part. They really aren’t even mentioning anyone else. Some even think it’s a foregone conclusion that he’s returning to Athens. Just message board chatter but still. If he dips, who do we get? Promote Weinke or go after someone else? Who’s on a short list of the someone elses? How would this affect our roster? Since our administration seems bought in to big boy football, do you think they would buckle down to try and prevent them from poaching him? Especially since it’s them? If we match or near it does he stay for continuity and security?

UGA fans are morons. Bobo isn’t getting fired and Buster isn’t leaving on year 3 of this rebuild with the best offense possibly in the country..

After this year I believe Buster gets a legit head coaching offer and will most likely take it as his son is a rising senior at North Oconee.

Pollock, the former player and former espn announcer, says a shakeup is coming in the uga staff and that more than 30 players will leave in the portal. Click bait comments left intentionally vague but he claims inside knowledge. Who knows?
This is sort of like a weather person looking at clouds and saying it might rain. He is no guru...there are always changes on staff (example Dell McGee to GS) and yeah 30 or so 4th stringers leaving so they can expand the scholarship pool to 4 and 5 stars...happens all the time.

Considering how many players they added via the portal and recruiting class, that might be right.

As for coaching, that’s generic enough. I’ve seen a few people complaining about their OL and receivers

UGA faced a defense in Notre Dame that was ready to clamp down on anyone. I don’t know that Faulkner or Monken would have done better.

I told my golfing buddies that I think I could start at WR for Uga, even with my 7.2 40 second time. Although I would struggle to get open I would at least catch the occasional ball. You know how a lot of teams crowd the box and dare QB's to beat them with their arms? Teams should do that to Uga but with the concept that Uga's receivers are going to have to beat them with their hands.

My SIL, who is a huge Dwag fan/alum and also has a fairly good understanding of the game, summarized the loss to ND quite succintly. She said that if it wasn't ND, Uga was going to lose eventually. Can't catch and struggle blocking at times. They weren't a NC team this year with or without Beck and she has maintained that for the latter part of the season.

I can't figure how a team that attracts so much talent can't find two guys who can catch a football.

They have a lazy, incompetent staff. espn comes out with the top 10 WRs, they watch a few highlights, fly a helo over for 15 mins and they invite them to campus. It's a catch & release program. If they don't like who they got they pull one off the bench, the crap WR either gets a medical or portals and they go get another one.

They have our WR coach from last year. They have an incredible high school network. It is really tough to know who will perform at the next level, whether it's high school to FBS, G5 to P4, our college to pro.

Lazy and incompetent staffs don't compete for titles.

100% agree with the last comment. WTBS, I think that there are certain innate or God-given skills in sports ("feel" in golf, "touch" in FB passing or basketball shooting, "hands" in receiving) that one either has or doesn't. Of course, coaching can improve anybody willing to do the work to get better with the skillset they are given. But I wonder how their receivers covered up this deficiency in the scouting process?????

They used to compete for titles because they've bought the best of the best, they're not better coached. Kirby is still the same dumbass he's always been. Now that everyone else is able to pay players, he's back to only getting a handful the talented players but most of what he's going to get are the talented problem children. It's their culture to take the derelicts, thugs & the low intelligence criminals. It will not go well from here on out. This **** bag of a program's going to eat itself. Buster's not going back to that cesspool.
