The Braves win 8-7 in the 11th inning over the Pirates and the 39-29 Braves are now in 1st place in the NL East with a 1 game lead over the Phillies The 30-37 Pirates are now in 5th place in the NL Central

Four of Riley's 10 home runs have either tied a game or given the Braves a lead after the sixth inning. No Braves player in history has reached 10 career home runs faster(Wally Berger in 1930, held it previously). Hope Austin being hit by that pitch on the left wrist isn’t swollen up today.

last time i looked at stats Riley had already passed Donaldson in both HR and RBI in less than half as many at bats. I wonder who is more cost efficient and likely to be starting next year?

You can pretty much pencil in Austin Riley at 3rd base for 2020 right now Josh Donaldson will be with another team in 2020

Austin Riley is amazing, I don't think he is but I hope he's not a flash in the pan after ML pitchers figure him out (ala Jeff Francoeur) ...
Pittsburgh is no slouch and big game today to wrap up the series before the Phillies come into town.
The Phillies are off and the additional 1/2 game lead would mean the Phillies would have to sweep to regain the NL East lead ... hope Julio continue's the good work !!

I don't think that he is going to hit for average like he is right now. He'll be a prototypical cleanup hitter though. I guess he'll probably hit around .260 or .270 with 30+ HR and 100 RBI.

A couple pages back, I gave the comparison stats. and mentioned the cost efficiencies between the two 3B players.

New name within the next year, it will become “Trust Park.” I’m trusting the budget needs to rise.

Good...The strike zone has been all over the place today. Once again, sign me up for balls and strikes being called electronically. I'm tired of the strike zone changing from game to game, or in this case, inning to inning.
