3-2 Braves over the Pirates in the 5th inning
Hopefully Soroka and Fried will be in the lineup come Playoff timeOur offense is stroking. Next year we will be really really good. Don't get me wrong, we are good this year but Soroka and Fried won't be around at the end of the year so that will handcuff us a bit in the playoffs.
Why are they not going to be around at the end of this year? Our offense is stroking. Next year we will be really really good. Don't get me wrong, we are good this year but Soroka and Fried won't be around at the end of the year so that will handcuff us a bit in the playoffs.
The club has already confirmed that they'll be on an innings limit this year since they are coming off injuries. Unless the club plans on skipping some of their starts during the regular season, they will reach their innings limit before the playoffs. Why are they not going to be around at the end of this year?
Somehow, I’m not as afraid to gas up at the Shell station tonight.Great pitching by Jerry Blevins
I think he has to have a tough situation to get really going mentallySomehow, I’m not as afraid to gas up at the Shell station tonight.
Does our friendly neighborhood Sliderman always have to give up a run in the ninth, and put runners all over the bases?
It will be awesome if the Braves sweep the Phillies and have a 4 game lead in the NL East after Sunday's series finale7:20 pm tonight at Trust Park:
Nick Pivetta
RHP
4-1, 4.93 ERA, 37 SO
Pivetta is on a roll since rejoining the Phillies' rotation. He has allowed four runs in 20 innings, including the first complete game of his career Saturday against the Reds. He has allowed just one run in his last 19 innings.
Max Fried
LHP
7-3, 3.75 ERA, 66 SO
Saturday looks interesting. Nola vs, Newk.
Sunday, Folty. Phils:TBD.
