It will be awesome if the Braves sweep the Phillies and have a 4 game lead in the NL East after Sunday's series finale:cigar:
Braves up 1 1/2 games. Streaking: 7 in a row, 10 out of last 12, 22 out of 32.
Not imagining a sweep because Newk. and Folty have been inconsistent in starting roles. Love to see 2 out of 3, realistically. Arrietta might go on Sunday.

Do you think there's a chance the Braves would shop Folty in the offseason around if he struggles the rest of the 2019 season?

You raise an interesting point, which if you would allow me to paraphrase it differently. Would our G.M. shop “any” player while their numbers were spiraling downward? I’m thinking no, based on his history. He did quietly package Matt Wisler, and a few others he didn’t have space for. A.A. does have to turn the roster over as part of his duties. He tries to sell high, as evidenced by waiting on Swanson, Tehran, Newk. to straighten themselves out, which they have done. His only chance to deal Julio is in the next two months. If Dansby keeps this surge up, he might not deal him next Winter, without more than equal value. I believe he listens to any offer on Folty, but doesn’t bite unless the player gets command of the slider/and forkball again.

You make very good points(y)

Dansby better not be traded.
Atlanta has a history of trading shortstops. Plenty in the system already and Camargo came up playing that position. Culberson a good alternate in a pinch. If Swanson ends up with 20 & 80 & .275, I truly believe they lock him up long-term. Mainly because he’s as local as you can get, fine defensively and plays hard. Braves just waiting on consistency in his offense for 162 game season.

Atlanta Braves reported expenditures from the first-round signing allowance totals $8,282,300.

That leaves $3,249,900 in their account. It’s also $725,500 more than predicted by the slots due to savings from under-slot bonuses.

The Braves may spend as much as 5% over the allocated pool without incurring a penalty, raising their maximum expenditure to $3,826,510.

Another quality start by Julio, 6 innings, 3 hits, 2 runs, 3 BB's, but 2 of the 3 were in (a somewhat shaky) first inning ... hate to jinx it, but he has become a solid piece of the starting rotation.
Somebody please tell Snitker ... do NOT put Matt Joyce back in Left Field !!
The Phillies series will be interesting, looks like we get Nola Saturday and possibly Arrieta Sunday ... we need to win Friday !!

Nothing like having Acuna back in the leadoff spot
