This is a very big blow. Suzuki is way better offensively than Gomes... & of significance today, he's Scherzer's battery mate. Everything coming up crappy for the Nationals right now. Serious gut-check time.

I’m not a Flowers-ly fellow. Seems like the Braves signed him knowing they were going to be outbid by the 2 yr./10 m. offer to Kurt from the Nats.(therefore when he didn’t take our lower contract for one year, we only had to shop for one catcher-McCann). Looking back, Washington got the best of that....260, 16 dingers, 10 doubles, great defense/calling a game in 81 appearances.
