I really want you to take the first Wild Card and win it...then knock L.A. out...and play Atlanta.

To be forthright, I’m more concerned with your Nats. holding on to the current lead over Cubs, Snakes-than I am with the Braves positioning. And we have Acuna, Riley in mini-slumps, a shaky crew in the late innings.

Melancon has an ERA right at 4.

I think the Braves beat Max Scherzer tomorrow and raise their record to 90-54.

Melancon had the night off for rest Friday night. That’s why Luke was setup (followed by Newk after the 3 run hr). Greene was the natural choice to close at that point. I feel like our pen has a pretty consistent rotation finally, and has been very reliable over the past couple weeks. AA’s moves have definitely paid off after a shaky start from Greene, Melancon and Martin.

I would like to see Braves ultimately get home field for the playoffs...after a loss today, of course.

And Why stop at Dodgers... Go pass those AL guys (4.0 back) too.

You want to be forced to play hard to very end... need something to play for. & no letdown before playoffs start. The Braves are very hot... at least I hope so... otherwise, my Nats really are in big trouble.

Great story. Thanks for sharing. Wonderful how Nats. were the original drafting team he came up with, and nine years later...both parties loyal to each other and believed. Those factors almost equal the strength, courage and perseverance he had by himself on the journey.

For instance, I’m lifelong Braves(they called me Johnny Reb in NY, during Summertimes). Baltimore always was my A.L. team, great pitching, defense. That has been fading for over a decade, replaced by Washington when they took the Expos. So therefore no American League teams now. Closet Yankee fan, but never will admit that.

I’ve always rooted for G.T. against everyone in every sport, including my Alma Mater, Ga. State. Even when I took GSU coeds to Tech games in hoops vs. one another.
