Plain and simple, the Braves "stink" right now, I thought they were about to pull out of this funk after splitting with the Nats.
We better hope they get some off-day voodoo going or we'll be looking up at someone else leading the Division soon !!
Yeah if the Braves keep playing like they're playing they'll be in 2nd place in the NL East by the middle of next week:grumpy:

Thanks for posting, YJF2018.
It saddens me to hear of Big Ed’s passing. I only met him 10 years ago, but we became quick friends. His smile was so contagious. He typically worked the Field Level section right up above Walter. I’d give he and Geraldine movie passes, when I had some. We all shared that passion and sports. Got them to come out to a few G.T. games. What a lovely couple they made together. I’ll miss him. R.I.P. Life is short!

It's a very real possibility, why wouldn't anyone think? People acting like it's sewn up are what is irritating...a la Francoeur. It won't be some miracle if it does slip away.

We just need to rebound and get hot again soon, tons of games left to think either way.
I feel I should apologize. It's very easy for me (a Nats fan) to offer these thoughts to a crowd of folks much more emotionally invested than I am.

You're point is well-taken. Anyone who thinks the division is a walk in park for Braves is misguided. Somebody here in DC pointed out there was a 41 game stretch when Nats had best record in their history & only gained 2 games on Braves. And in last couple of days, they've made up 2.5 games. Baseball is crazy that way.

The moves made before deadline will make a difference, I suppose. Again, I think Braves are in better position to make themselves noticeably better. Nationals will only get marginally better... I'm betting.

No need to apologize Fred you're a level headed straight shooter. My comment was directed more at our broadcast booth who keep insinuating we don't have to worry about the dogfight that is now the wild card race because we're up 6.5 games...now it's 4...and there are SO many games left.

The Mets have scouts and executives watching Kyle Wright and Ian Anderson tonight(Mississippi has 9 different MLB team reps. viewing Ian, Christian and Drew).

Noah Syndergaard is the NY Met bait. Edwin Diaz?
