With the nats having the orioles coming up, and the Phillies having the dodgers next, I’m hoping the Phillies take the next two. I say that with my hands over my mouth as to not puke while the words are uttered. But that does give us the best chance of gaining ground on both teams you would think

DK is the ground ball master. Had this conversation with a friend tonight. What are the chances we bring him and/or Donaldson back next year? Does DK drop the asking price since he saw teams wouldn’t give him the long term contract? And does josh take a paycut to stay with a winner. And from the Braves side, do we offer him and keep Riley in the outfield one more year with Pache in the wings? Lots of questions, but good ones for the front office. Hope we get it right

Big K to get Hosmer there and get out of trouble. Pitch count is low through 3 also, 41 or so. Hopefully he goes 7-8 innings tonight. I love his outlook on it. “No 5 and five”. I think that drives our other starters too. Let’s be honest, our starters, the ones in the minors included have had trouble going 6 this year.

My friends were ripping Big D after that first start. I defended him talking about how he was needed by Atlanta, instead of taking more Spring Training in the minors. Plus his agent negotiated that clause to be called up by that Tuesday as part of the one-year pact.

The odds are better for Big D to be coming back. McCann should be here. No reason for him to go. This is a young staff, especially when Julio departs. Donaldson has been good, too! 19 HRs.

Swanson has 20 doubles. What do you guys think of his first 92 games in 2019?

Dansby will be the SS on the Braves for a long time and will do an All Star level job. I think both DK and JD could very well be back with the Braves for the 2020 season.

Not gonna lie. Luke made it interesting, but he closed it out and I’m pleased with the effort tonight. I still don’t know that it’s sustainable. After the last few minors outings, Gausman may have to rejoin the rotation, Bryse may need some more innings. Anything on Folty?Maybe we go out and get Wheeler from the Mets to solidify the rotation. Big decisions to be made.

A what if...move FNS to the seventh or eighth inning to take the pressure off(he has blown over 33% of his save opportunities and seems to start off slow putting the leading lady on). Until we can acquire someone not named Minter, what about Jacob Webb or Swarzak? Both ERA’s are lower than Sliderman, Sliderman.

Doddfather, have no fear, outside help will be coming here! Contending G.M’s know what their charge in this time of year. We can say hold pat or trade for the best out there, but A.A. will make the decisions. He will probably go out and get another Gausman, in the least. The Tigers have a big lefty. Smoke, let’s see if there is fire?
