Sometime yesterday evening, a rumor trickled up from the depths of Twitter and infiltrated its way onto
Atlanta Braves’ fans Twitter accounts.
Marcus Stroman was on the verge of being traded to the Atlanta Braves for
Ender Inciarte, Drew Waters, and Ian Anderson. Two of our most ‘untouchable’ prospects were potentially on the way to Canada.
Whether it’s valid or not, closer Ken Giles is having an “on fire” season. Both of these pitchers are basically locked up through 2020 due to arbitration. Stroman has had a few injuries in the past. Personally, I don’t want to give up those two prospects, even with Giles included. Pache, Wilson, Wright, would be untouchable to me.
Would you give up any of these guys or Allard or insert big time prospect for any of these front line starters, during the next three weeks? or should we deal the Gohara types for a Gausman type, like last July of 2018? or do you prefer to stand pat(not me)?
I don’t mind dangling Allard(don’t think A.A. would deal Touki, Newk. or Bryse), Inciarte, Duvall, Folty or Tehran. Probably selling low on those players, but we should be able to get a veteran starter and closer off a team out of the race. Texas is 48-42, and might not deal until they see where they are right up to July 31?
