Surprisingly, Atlanta tendered a contract to everyone by 8 pm deadline.
Terry McGuirk states the Braves will make another signing similar to the Josh Donaldson deal. Anthopoulos wants to hold 10 m. back for during the 2019 season.

Wilmer Flores was non-tendered by the Mets.

Keuchel rejected a qualifying offer from the Astros in favor of reaching the open market, but because the Braves received revenue sharing and didn’t exceed the competitive balance tax in 2018, they’d only lose their third-highest draft pick.

Fish want Albies as the starting point, in a package for J.T. Realmuto. Atlanta turned that down. Yankees offering their best minor league player, plus other talent in the lower minor leagues. Washington satisfied with Gomes and Suzuki.

RP, Juan Nicasio and OF, Mitch Haniger from Seattle would likely require multiple top 25 prospects in the Atlanta Braves system along with 1-2 in the 25-50 range in the system, per a source. Remember, Ricardo Sanchez was top 25 before taken off 40 man and then traded for cash, earlier this past week.

Also, Lance Lynn is a durable FA SP, could be another Anibel Sanchez type of pickup.

I’d be happy to sign Keuchel to a four years deal. That leaves prospect capital in place to acquire a corner outfield piece and a controllable reliever like Kirby Yates or Will Smith to bolster the Braves pen.

Albies, Acuna, should be off limits.

Braves are interested in Michael Brantley, LF-1B, however his asking salary seems to be too high. Three years, 60 m. type of contract. 31 y.o. w/some injury/DL stints in recent times.
