Wait. Isn’t this hypocrite the one that was not gonna recruit one and done players? And then when he realized that he can’t win vs calipari, then he changed his mind?

I'm not seeing the hypocrisy. I don't read his comments as someone trying to keep the current system. I actually think it's the opposite and he's not a fan of the way things are now. I think he is blasting the NCAA for what he sees them as being caught with their pants down about this whole thing. I don't think he's worried about losing his advantage, because one I think he knows he won't be coaching much longer and it may very well not affect him anyways, and 2, he's won more games than anyone else in history. Duke with K will have a talent advantage regardless of system, and regardless of take on amateurism.

Coach K is 72 this year. His age would be used against him in recruiting except one and dones don't care as long as he is there for the year they play. They want the one year to have a chance to play for a legendary coach and a shot at a national championship.

When you have the most wins in history, 5 championships, who knows how many NBA players, and are an active coach who was inducted into the hall of fame nearly 20 years ago you probably have plenty of things to stave off the "he's old" argument.

If you go to a true neutral outsider, that is exactly what you would expect he would do.
If I were him I would go get the true professionals on my side
