That might be a real possibility. 21 yards rushing last night. Something is wrong with that team. No chemistry, no emotion, nothing. I wonder if Tech's win took something out of them.

That’s their own fault. They only ran the ball 13 times. They ran for 49 yards, though. They should have run more.

Before the BC game, I thought we had a good chance to get ranked. Now, it's hard to justify Tech over BC at the moment for that #25 spot. Gotta keep winning and we'll move up eventually.

Sorry. I could swear I saw a graphic on ESPN that showed 21 yards. Yeah, I didn't get why they didn't run more, with their much-ballyhooed rushing attack. So that's less than 150 yards in two games for FSU.

It's not how u start . It's how you finish.

From eye ball standpoint , I would love to be ranked after ND and UGA instead of Ga.State.

We are rebuilding from a pretty low point. It's going to be a fun ride.

BC's defense played really well - they kept the FSU run game bottled up all night.

F$U has some very real problems. Their OL is soft and has been dominated two weeks in a row. They got pushed around in a home game by BC. DJU ain't the answer...I'm pretty surprised we didn't see a backup in the game last night. That says a lot about what the coaches think they have in DJU, but there's clearly a disconnect somewhere between practice and gameday.

How is it hard to justify? Did anyone actually watch the FSU game or they going off the scoreboard? FSU played worse against BC than us and it wasn’t close. The TE didn’t drop 5 passes against Tech, DJU didn’t miss two wide open touchdown passes, the uncalled for penalties weren’t there against Tech. FSU played us well and still needed a miracles just to tie the game. Tech dominated FSU just as BC did on the LOS.

I thought FSU had a letdown after the loss to Tech, but pollsters aren't likely to much take that into consideration.

Maybe Game on Paper is messed up. ESPN has 16 carries for 21 yards.

Eight of the “carries” are by DJU for -0.5 yards—including the three sacks.

EDIT: It looks like Game on Paper removes sacks from the rushing stats—if so, there were three sacks for 28 total yards. ESPN has 16 rushes for 21 yards, and Game on Paper has 13 for 49.

Yeah, I’m not sure you can compare the two. That DID NOT look like the same team we played. They were defeated from the jump and you could see it all over their face. I don’t think the BC game says anything about our team. I say this every year
football is not transitive property. I like seeing that graphic that comes out at the end of every year that has Team A>B>C>D>E>F>G
that means A beats G right? And it’s alway someone like Incarnate Word beating Georgia.

As far as being ranked, I always thought if we went 4-0, we MIGHT crack the Top 25. I don’t think Louisville was ranked until after week 4 last year? I don’t think the results of the BC/FSU game determine if we’re ranked or not today. We’d still need enough teams currently ranked to lose. 4 teams in the Top 25 lost, and three of those are ranked high enough to where they’re not dropping out, minus FSU, they should drop out. Clemson won’t, A&M won’t, LSU won’t. NCSU won and could prob drop out. So, that’s two teams that will drop. There are more teams in the “also receiving votes” category who won big and who are media darlings (SEC) who they’ll bump up instead of us. Two of Louisville, Nebraska, Washington, Kentucky, Auburn will get in before us this week. That’s what I think.

One AP voter:

So looking at these projections, Top 10 SEC 4, Big 10 4, Notre Dame, Miami (ACC). Looking at the entire 25 projections SEC 9, Big 10 6, Big 12 6 (including 3 of Top 13), ACC 3 (1 of Top 22), Notre Dame. No surprise on SEC and Big Ten but I am surprised by how many more Big 12 teams are proposed to be ranked. ACC looks like a very distant 4th conference if these rankings are close to reality. It really hurts the image of the ACC when their supposed Top 2 teams Clemson and FSU have played so poorly to start the year.
