A lot of people wanted this guy. All I know is he better be the Einstein of football Xs and Os because he's going to inherit a roster and recruiting class worthy of Brian Gregory's worst basketball efforts.

I'm glad GT hired Coach Collins instead of Scott Satterfield I think Coach Collins has more character than Scott Satterfield and he happens to be a better recruiter also

If there was any confusion, we can now be assured WnE is back on the boards. "Magical 3-loss season" is how he attempted to denigrate the Orange Bowl winning season after assuring us that GT would lose 6+ games that year...

BTW, We beat three 10 win teams that year, and narrowly lost to a 13-1 FSU squad, so I am not sure we were depending on a down year from other programs...

I had him on ignore lol...forgot he existed

All this after losing the last 6 games of their season.. (getting throttled in the bowl game)
How on earth (besides the 2nd KO return's for TD) did we lose that game?

I still butt my head on my computer desk about that loss Charlie Strong I think will be on the hotseat in 2019 with a poor start to the 2019 season after imploding in 2018

1. Untimely fumbles
2. Interceptions too
3. Bad pursuit angles
4. USF has good athletes
5. Bad tackling
6. Carpenter and Curry were ejected for targeting
7. Hot , humid, muggy weather
8. Wells hadn’t won the kicking job yet
9. Other stuff
10. Those two kickoff returns were daggers

Wasn’t our best clock management day, either. Oliver had to come out because he was exhausted. Passing was offline most of the day (like the Camp pass out of bounds where he made a circus catch but put his heel on the sideline).

Ugh. Now the flashbacks have started. We played so badly, everyone thought that Charlie Strong was a good coach.

And we still almost won.

Yeah, that's still not enough ;-)

Carpenter for targeting hurt us. He was really playing well at that point, and it was another one of those bs calls where the only reason his helmet hit the guy was because the offensive player ducked. He was trying to square him up in the midsection.

Also Will Bryan played whole game and was injured very late.
Should have come out.
He tried to go in practice and aggravated it so he didnt travel to Pittsburgh or play jn Clemson game. Rough baptism of fire for #2 s.

Watching WF vs Memphis
I see WF has a Jr BB type that s pretty effective in the RPO.
Also the bb catches swing passes.

Also lots of modified rocket toss plays by memphis.

We can do these plays if they respect our passing. BiG IF
