Is Jairus the Hamilton with the bad knees? Or is that his brother? I can't keep them straight since I don't watch BC very often

Chris Herren and Jairus Hamilton are transferring from BC. They might be smaller than VT next year.
Steffon Mitchell is the only player returning over 6'7 who played any minutes last year.
Chris Herren. Man that’s a name that brings back memories. I forgot his son played at BC
Herron Sr was a hell of a ball player. It was fun watching him at Fresno

Herren Sr wrote a book about his struggles Worth a read. the dude had a rough life growing up and made some bad decisions, but seems to have gotten it back on track as an adult.

Vassell and Williams leaving is a big hit for FSU. Trent Forrest finally ran out of eligibility and the big Russian Olydliwyglyglwy is done, too. They still have talent around, so will be good, but they're losing a lot of what made them ACC champs and top 10 this year

I watched his 30 for 30 doc on ESPN + last night. I’ve seen it 5 times and it’s still just as good.

I expect them to be outside the top 8. Barnes is good but he isn't the type of player that will dominate a game like some 5* kids will. Keep an eye on incoming JUCO Calhoun, can really shoot it. So much of FSU's success came from Forrest and Vassell defensively, that will be the hardest thing to replace.

Believe we dodged a bullet with this former Duke player

It isn’t the Butler coaches. They expected to have nearly everyone back with the exception of Baldwin and McDermott. They thought Tucker was a possibility to leave but via GradX, certainly not this.

Is McDermott part of the Mcdermott family? If so surprised hes not at Creighton

Rayshaun Hammonds has declared for the NBA Draft (but has not retained an agent so he has the option to return).

If you go back to his recruiting thread, I'm still curious what college coaches saw in him. Maybe they imagined him as a shooting specialist, but I never saw it. The young man "looked" the part...but never played at a high level. Definitely not a 4 star guy. Saw him play against a Isaac Okoro who was 2 years younger, and Shariffe Cooper who was 3 years younger and about 5'6 at the time...you could tell both guys were going to be high level elite type guys. Outside of "looking the part", the 3 times I got to watch him play, Tucker kinda just faded into the background and didn't make any kind of impact on the High School level.

FWIW, assuming we have a season, you have to think that teams with alot of new players are going to be at a disadvantage.
There is no way schools will have students on campus this summer. GA schools start summer sessions in mid-May.
I suspect most schools are not going to allow students on campus until fall orientation. So the typical summer of taking classes on campus while working out and playing pickup games with teammates is not going to happen this summer. That will put teams with lots of new faces behind as they have to try to build chemistry quickly once practices start up in October.
