Yes, anywhere between rookie ball and class A in 99% of the cases. Rare cases of a player rising to AAA quickly (see Bob Horner). Once they're signed clubs want to get them to their assignments asap

Make that 6 HR’s in 7 games! He homered again last night to make it 4 straight games with a HR.

 

This guy....it's early; but he's certainly not disappointing.

 

Joey Bart may be the CJ of our baseball program. Bart was the highest drafted in GT baseball history after all.

 

...and he led us to such glory on the Diamond.......wait, er......never mind! (NOT Bart's fault, that's for sure!)

 

All 5 (?) ACC first team players couldn't lead us to glory. So I don't blame it on Bart at all.

Hope he has a great career for decades. Catchers can last a long time.

 

I was hoping he would end up in Augusta, maybe he starts here next year unless they put him in AA.

Bart could be a quick riser through the minor leagues. He’ll probably start 2019 at High-A before spending the majority of the year at Double-A. I would be a little surprised if he doesn’t prove himself ready by 2020.

The Giants' Double A affiliate is the Richmond (VA) Flying Squirrels. Excellent!
