The most consecutive games that GT has won all year is 3 — they've done it twice in reg season. This NIT run is the third 3-game win streak, on our way to 5? If so, Pastner/Staff/SAs exceed the highest of high expectations in regards to the goal of finishing the year better than we started. The most fun ride in over a decade.

Favored by 1 to 2 ain't a lot. I think our 3-pt defense has gotten a lot better over the season. Early on, it was atrocious. Now, I feel pretty good about it.

Because it was mentioned that they foul a lot earlier, here's a stat page for that: https://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/stat/personal-fouls-per-game. They have 21.4 personal fouls/game, where we have 16.1. That made me ask whether CS Fullerton's fouling strategy could get their opponents fouling more per game. There's a stat for opponent fouls/game: https://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/stat/opponent-personal-fouls-per-game. We get 18 fouls/game. CS Fullerton gets 20/game. They're above average, but not way above average. I'm hoping that our guys don't get into foul trouble. The TeamRankings site is kind of cool--you can do stat comparisons like this one https://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/matchup/roadrunners-yellow-jackets-2017-03-28/splits. For the last 3 games, we're definitely the hotter team. For the season, it's more even. They've been very hot at 3 point shooting lately, but we've been extra good at two point shooting lately. If recent play is a better guide, we look really good (like MikeJackets said, "we're on a roll"). I think rest helps us, too

Oh, no--I've found more stats.

Seriously, that's pretty cool. I'm still curious if teams that get fouled a lot retaliate a lot too. I'd think so. Can't prove it offhand right now though.
