This season has been a disaster but firing him so that you can hire someone that probably isn’t as good of a coach as he is and paying both of them like 15 million a year combined would be peak stupidity.

Most likely.

They have games against Miami next Saturday, then UNC, Notre Dame, Charleston southern, and Florida. Bowl is technically possible still, but they’re probably losing at least two more games.

And Norvell will probably still be head coach.

Their recruiting class must be tanking even worse now.

FSU played two QBs. Glenn had a QBR of 14.6 on ESPN, but good news, Kromenhoek had a QBR of 15.1! That’s a solid three percent better.

Meanwhile Murphy had a 24.7. Truly great football all around.

FSU held a team to 180 yards and lost, fantastic.

He is the reigning national coach of the year. He took over a disaster of an FSU program and brought them back to 10 win seasons within 3 years. He has multiple 10 win seasons at two different schools. It's hard to say he is a bad coach. I have no idea what lead to this disaster but if your coach has that kind of background and a 60+ million dollar buyout then you should probably give him a chance to right the ship.

Mostly misplaced preseason expectations and player evaluations that were too generous. Also, they have had a ton of injuries and may have lost Darius Washington for season last night.
