I like McCord but he wasn't that great last night. Threw at least three passes directly into the hands of defenders that were dropped. If any of those were caught, UNLV wins. He had some good throws as well but just seemed kind of off all night overall.
I have not watched all of their games but I have been following some… I have not seen another game where he placed balls as accurately as he did against us.
I think we got FSU’s best game to date and Cuse’s best game to date. Not sure how much of a role we played in how either looked against us, honestly.
Jury is out on Lville’s performance against us. I’m interested to see how their game today goes.
I expect us to look sharp off of the bye and make people wonder how we dropped those two games.

I agree with this assessment. Personally, I think we simply had an off day against Louisville (too many mistakes). That one us on us.

As I noted earlier, we've been getting our opponent's best games due to a combination of their first ACC games and more film on us than on them. That should change with the Duke game.

This time SMU drives right down passing. 2 possessions, 2 TDs.
I joked prior to the season that it would be the “most ACC thing in the world” for SMU to land in the conf champ game. They have a very favorable schedule and looked like they may only be outclassed by FSU and Lville but otherwise had a shot every week. 6-2 could certainly be enough…
Fast forward to now, they whacked FSU and don’t look to be struggling with the cards. 6-2 looks very doable… maybe even better….
Can’t wait for that narrative to emerge…:ROFLMAO:

Maybe we aren’t that good and they play better against us because it’s easier to do so. The Duke needs to be a good one for us or we are the problem.

Stopped in a random bagel shop in LA and Wake/NCST is on because it’s on CW broadcast over the air for free. That deal has to be the best west coast tv exposure for most of the ACC in forever.
Just saw the hit on McCall… looked ugly. Hope he is OK. NCSt may be without him for a few weeks if not longer.

If SMU wins today then I think they go at least 6-2 in conference and could potentially go 7-1 (everyone drops a game eventually).
They have looked like a completely different team offensively since Jennings became the starting QB. They don't play either Miami or Clemson.

In about an hour and a half Army could have the longest winning streak in FBS. They are currently tied with Missou with 8 straight wins. Duke is next with 7 straight wins.
(Missou is currently down 24-0 at halftime to A&M, Army is up 21-7 on Tulsa).

I hope he's okay, but that was just an incredibly stupid decision. It was the first quarter 6 minutes into the game. No reason to lower head into 4 defenders.

Duke game should reveal all.

A win against an undefeated Duke team will mean we aren’t awful.

An easy win against an undefeated Duke team would mean we are pretty good, still growing as a team, and big wins are still possible this year.

A loss would almost certainly mean “wait until next year.”

Mizzou needs to fall a long way after this butt whooping. They had squeakers against BC and Vandy and are getting properly exposed right now.

It’s been an enjoyable noon lineup with Pitt shredding the tar holes defense and loserville being smacked around when they’re facing a decent opponent.
