It’s always a trade off. Teams down late change how their offense operates. Our blitzed are generally not successful. Attempting to make an opponent going out a long drive is sound theory. Poor execution destroys that theory. On any play call you are spot on.
But after 85% of grest sucess at one method and then failing after shifting to a different method, thats defintion of failure
It doesn't matter if Tom Brady or Joe Montana was their QB this year. Throwing is only part of the equation. Catching the ball also matters. It's hard to imagine a worse group of receivers than what they had this year.I’ve already heard dwag fans saying “If Beck had played, we would have won!” As my high school coach used to say (and keep in mind he went to u(sic)ga), “If “if’s” we’re points, Georgia would be national champions every year “.
Kind of funny since last week all I heard them say was that they were glad Beck couldn't play and that Stockton was the real deal and should have been starting all season.I’ve already heard dwag fans saying “If Beck had played, we would have won!” As my high school coach used to say (and keep in mind he went to u(sic)ga), “If “if’s” we’re points, Georgia would be national champions every year “.
Question for someone with more football knowledge than myself...why does UGa struggle so much with the QB keeper? We saw Haynes King have a career day against them, and while not anywhere near that level, one of Notre Dame's best plays was Riley Leonard running the ball. I know both are good runners, but it still seems odd to me. Any thoughts?
Is this part of a game?
Be who you want to be...
Almost as heartbroken by that as any Arizona State fan.Texas was a 4th and 13 from being eliminated. How did that guy get behind coverage in the red zone?

Yeah, if I come clean about it I don’t really hate Notre Dame. I started to hate them when Dan Devine was the coach and that continued with Lou Holtz. But in the meantime I attended a Tech home game with Notre Dame and a family from South Bend was near me. When “Rambling Wreck” was played they actually sang and clapped along. Then I realized that for them college football was just clean wholesome fun. Since then I’ve felt more amiable toward them. And I certainly think their emphasis on student athletes makes them kindred spirits in a world of phony students and paid professionals.I'm in the minority, I know, but I like ND. I haven't always, but at some point I realized they play real student athletes and run a clean program. The turning point came many years ago. A long time ago --- maybe back to O'Leary ---- Tech opened at South Bend. We were underdogs but won big. Someone posted on the Hive that leaving the Stadium he couldn't believe what good sports the ND fans were. No bitterness, just complimentary of Tech. Then several more Hivers added they had had the same experience. It changed my view of the Irish.
I had to leave the tv with about seven minutes to play. Georgia had the ball at about the ND 12. How did Georgia get no points?
Ohio State is a buzz saw right now. Texas fixin to find out.Notre Dame.
Looks like all that rest Kirby was bragging about getting after the $eC championship game really helped them out. In fact, they liked it so much that they decided to go ahead and get a full offseason’s worth of rest early"Bu... we had a bie. Don't dat mean we s'posed to blew em owt?" - avg dawg fan
I am 100% aligned with this. I was at ND when we won big and when we lost big. Both times their fans were amazing before and after the games. I won’t go so far as to say I’m a ND fan but I like them better than most teams out there.I'm in the minority, I know, but I like ND. Root, please readIt’s always a trade off. Teams down late change how their offense operates. Our blitzed are generally not successful. Attempting to make an opponent going out a long drive is sound theory. Poor execution destroys that theory.
Az St blitzing in an attempt to force the Texas QB to make a quick throw that is short of the EZ is also sound in theory. Poor execution trumps sound theory.
Our coverage was poor dropping 8 into coverage. Az St’s coverage in mam to man with a blitz.
We both lost. It happens. The other team made plays.
In theory that might have worked. It couldn’t have worked worse. Still games change significantly in the 4th quarter because both teams play differently.Root, please read
for 75% game we kicked uga butt.
Then we put in 3 man line.
ND coaches kept pedal down and barely won.
We kicked uga *** in athens till 5 minutes left.
Just another coincidence, Nothing to see here.
In Kirby’s defense, rules usually aren’t important when u(sic)ga is playing out of conference teams.Best part of uGA's coach's post-game whining is his clear ignorance of the rules. Calls out the refs for letting ND sub 11-for-11, "dey don't lettuce do that in tha ess-ee-cee".
If his dumbarse knew the rules he would've caught the subtle maneuver by ND that made it legal. Like their coaches were dumb enough to not know how to execute the play.
Tha SEC, it just means mor(ons)e.
