ESPN had a good breakdown on the play. Az St blitzed but Ewers say that a blitz was coming and repositioned the receivers to the right side. Texas picked up the blitz and the stacked receivers ran a combination pattern with the guy who caught the TD making a great fake out cut inside where the Az guy in man coverage god turned around.

So for all the guys who hate bend but don’t break defense this is why coaches play that type defense.
Not blitzing is not the defintion of being too conservative.
"Crazy" blitzing is not being aggressive. Its stupid.

At uga w 5 to go we were 14 up and went from 4 dl with tight db to 3 dl and soft db coverage. Thats not bend break, that's stupid.

Question for someone with more football knowledge than myself...why does UGa struggle so much with the QB keeper? We saw Haynes King have a career day against them, and while not anywhere near that level, one of Notre Dame's best plays was Riley Leonard running the ball. I know both are good runners, but it still seems odd to me. Any thoughts?

The right answer is what works. The wrong answer is what doesn’t work. That is only known after the fact.

At least the announcers of the Duke Ole Miss game are calling out the stupidity of the current portal time window and some teams are contacting players during the season trying to buy them for the next season.

I think Parker Jones will be in .... eh, I better not even say in jest.

All kidding aside, he might want to find a safe way home. Their fans(sic) are not hinged.
Not at all like our guy who shoved punt coverage gunner in the back....that cost us game.....our fans blame refs....not that theses refs did not desrve trashing.....oh well.
I wanted to quit this site until August.....I can't....must check into rehab, I guess

Maybe the problem is the Bowl Games and not the Transfer Portal window.

Whatever timeframe is set for the Portal will have many unintended consequences.

Don't you know that UGa would have given $$$$$$$ to have our "back-up" QB....
QB'ing is 75% of college football...
(and, in other news, UGa left OT had a BAD game...and #86 dropped more passes today than Eric did all year.....which is a bunch!...and,apparently, other teams have DBs who simply do not tackle...."run up and bump" will not bring down a Pavia or a Leonard or anyone ever......)

People complain, but there isn't much you can actually do. Players have to be at their new school by second week in January. If you wait until after the playoffs, then they won't be able to transfer until Summer anyway. Even if you wait until after the team's bowl game the chance of finding a team and transferring will be low.

I predict that some time in the future with NIL, transfers, and expansion of CFP that bowl games will go away. Why have non-playoff games among teams with varying levels of player availability. They are becoming more and more like exhibition games.

Remember when St. Saban had issues with mobile quarterbacks.....who was his DC?
