Ewers has looked absolutely horrible for Texas, hard to believe Manning isn't better

Sometimes, when you’ve heard for the 20th time about all the pro talent on Texas, and then watch them fart around with it, I think this team isn’t as good as their twin sister -Miami.

No one knows what targeting is now. The defender kept his head up just a bit so not the crown of the helmet.

Which means the refs can call it any way they like. And that means, subtle pressures and biases become bigger more important than the rule.

I thought helmet to helmet on defenseless player was targeting regardless of crown.
I guess they determine he was not defenseless?

Once again, I am confused about what targeting is.

Targeting is hitting a defenseless receiver or leading with the crown of your helmet to deliver a blow to the ball carrier…. unless the offender plays for an SEC team.

Again Targeting is different in every game. Zero consistency. It’s absurd.
