I haven’t watched SportsCenter in years. Is Bob Lea still there?I quit watching ESPN years ago except for the occasional Tech game.

What they are angling for is a Texas / Georgia national championship game. They’ve already got their speeches prepared about how these two “titans of college football are playing the game of the century.”Agreed…
But the 24/7 sports network has no deal with ND.
TENN has been eliminated in spectacular fashion, UGA had question marks all season and are now without their starting QB and are going against a REALLY good ND, therefore, TEXAS is the greatest team in the land!
The equation and solution are both quite simple.
i bet if that happens, it will have one of the worst viewerships. no one wants to see the same game 3x in a seasonWhat they are angling for is a Texas / Georgia national championship game. He is good at what he does. He draws a large audience for a radio host. I, like most non SEC fans can’t stand him. Still one has to give him his due for finding his place in Sports media.Finebaum was a failed newspaper reporter who got a new start on the radio as a sports shock jock. You don't need talent for that. What he has received
from all of that is access to the right people, which is how he makes his money now.
Golly… who do you think he means when he says other teams are more deserving? Probably Miami, right?
It was both. IU was a good team but they proved what a lot of folks suspected… they seized on a weak schedule.I did not see the game. Was it because Indiana was so bad or was Notre Dame just that good? I saw Notre Dame a couple of times this season and they looked elite. No, not that "elite" the real elite.
Thank you for the reply. So far the teams I have been most impressed with are Ohio State and Notre Dame (Notre Dame based on regular season and Ohio State on the Tennessee game) Some smart aleck said that Penn State with Franklin coaching winning a first round game proves that there are too many teams in the playoffs. It was both. The ND I have seen has been great. What I’d really like to find is the NIU game replay. I just don’t see a realm where it’s possible that ND lost to them. I wonder what happened. They’ve looked pretty infallible since mid September.
Keep in mind also that this was the very first playoff game. Kirk came hard with the narrative to lay the groundwork for transitive property claim of a half dozen SEC teams being worthy of their “rightful” spot in the CFP. Didn’t expect Tenn to lose in even more spectacular fashion.
Geeze! I hope the mutts crap the bed against ND. As much as it pains me to type that, those arrogant jerks are just due for a butt whuppin’ w/o SECheat refs there to help them. What they are angling for is a Texas / Georgia national championship game. They’ve already got their speeches prepared about how these two “titans of college football are playing the game of the century.”
I know a some ESPN talking heads have griped about blowouts, but their own data shows it’s normal
IMO the transfer portal and NIL money will level the playing field and it won’t take long just look what it’s done to the SEC in just a few years. Teams like Alabama won’t be able to sit on players like they have in the past.Interestingly, a lot of folks responding to Dinich’s tweet maintained the position that 12 teams were too many, disregarding her point that blowouts are historically common. I think it’s a case of many fans buying into the CFP hype and being disappointed after watching what turned out to be 4 games without much drama past halftime.
Same here...I quit watching ESPN years ago except for the occasional Tech game.
Lost a key cog..."Notre Dame will be without team captain and starting defensive tackle Rylie Mills for the remainder of the College Football Playoff. Coach Marcus Freeman provided the update Monday on Mills, who injured his right knee in the third quarter"My lyin' eyes tell me Notre Dame looks like the team to beat this year. That defense...
Not even if he were on fire.I wouldn’t waste good urine of him.
Indiana, to me, looked well coached. They executed well on offense and defense and occasionally showed what they are capable of. I believe on any other day they could have tested Notre Dame. But, ND was playing lights out in from of their home crowd. NO ONE could have beaten them that night.I did not see the game. Was it because Indiana was so bad or was Notre Dame just that good? I saw Notre Dame a couple of times this season and they looked elite. No, not that "elite" the real elite.
