I was hopeful for a five seed. Can’t believe we got #3. Maybe this is the committee sending a message that if you schedule a tough NC, you get rewarded compared to the 150+ difficulty of the other teams in our seed area.

Well, Ray Tanner, the Committee chief, said Georgia Tech deserved its seed because of its strength of schedule.

I’m thinking they valued non-conference and overall SOS more than we thought. We played a ridiculous 9 non-conference games against Top 20 RPI teams and went 6-3. Non-conference SOS 12th toughest in the country. Compare that to MSU 200th and UGA 93rd.
