The 1987-1988 seasons were about as bad as the 1980-1981 seasons. They use too. If it wasn't for Indiana State in 1987 Tech would have probably had one win that season (sorry to bring up a bad memory, I was fortunate to not be alive yet).
Jerry Palm had Pitt going to the Sun Bowl LOLTo give a great example of the spread of bowls. Bonagura has us going to the Quick Lane Bowl, Hale has us in the Sun Bowl. Yeah... Pretty darn broad spectrum there.

The 1987-1988 seasons were about as bad as the 1980-1981 seasons.
1980 was 1-9-1 with the win being against Memphis 17-8 and a 3-3 tie with #1 Notre Dame and the only win in a 1-10 1981 season was a 24-21 win over #1 Alabama.I know 1987 was 2-9 with the victories being against The Citadel and Indiana State and 1988 was 3-8 with victories over VMI, South Carolina and Chattanooga.
I don't know, I imagine 1980-1981 would have been more depressing, just my guess.
A match with a 10-2 Ohio State team or a 10-3 Tennessee team in a rematch would be interesting.
I think both Wake Forest and NCSU both win 7 games while Duke has a chance to win 8.I don't know where we'll end up, but if any NC team has at least six wins (looks Wake is the best bet at present, doesn't it?), we'll never get a Belk Bowl bid. I'm guessing Music City if we have at least 7 wins and (yes) Sun if we have 8. They like Tech in El Paso.
Don 't care about Maryland and don't care about Detroit ( Apologies to the ones who are from there)Here's the latest bowl predictions from College Sports Madness. They have GT playing Maryland in the Quick Lane Bowl in Detroit

I live in Flint, which is worse than Detroit but trust me there is a lot to do in Detroit. Great restaurants, 3 huge casinos, adult entertainment and adult entertainment.Don 't care about Maryland and don't care about Detroit ( Apologies to the ones who are from there)
I'm hoping that this will be a similar season to 2014 and GT winds up in the Citrus Bowl against Mississippi State or Auburn. I'd be happy also to see a Taxslayer Bowl matchup between a 9-4 GT team and a 9-3 Tennessee team.Wow.... We didn't even play and they put us down to the Military Bowl.

Rather interesting...
No, I don't think you really would.I'd love a game vs OSU.
OSU will right their ship and probably be 11-1 and go to the Playoffs once again. No, I don't think you really would.
I was not aware that five win teams get bowl invitations now.I don't know where we'll end up, but if any NC team has at least six wins (looks Wake is the best bet at present, doesn't it?), we'll never get a Belk Bowl bid.
