I recorded it. I almost want to go back and watch it again. The play-by-play guy couldn't distinguish Souare from Ndongo. He kept calling Baye "Souare." Oddly strange when Baye is a star on the team and Ibrahim is a role player.
I noticed that too, and he’s not the first announcer who has repeatedly made that same mistake this season. Many of the announcers also still don’t know how to pronounce Ndongo. You would think that professional broadcasters would do their homework.

Got home about an hour and 15 minutes ago, just finished watching the recorded game ...have not read any of the above comments.
Was very impressed during the first 5 minutes, accepted the next 25 minutes of game time as oh the same old same old, example giving up a 20-2 run.
Appreciated The grit and determination as we slowly whittled down their lead...

Then... SWEET SWEET VICTORY !!!!

🍾🎉🥳

If I recall correctly, they were 8 for 16 from three-point land at the half...then 😁

Two halves:

First half Tech played tougher than I’ve seen them play all year but Louisville seemingly could not miss a 3 point shot. Almost every any other team in the nation would have collapsed against that kind of shooting onslaught by Louisville. With Tech down by 11 at half I was still proud of a mammoth effort on their part.

Second half Tech did not let up and kept fighting even though shot after shot wasn’t falling. But they took the physical fight to Louisville and, lo and behold, it was Louisville that began to crack. Tech kept grinding away and shots started to fall and a convincing win resulted.

Could not be any prouder of this effort and the coaching job by CDS.

It is clear that if we had a few more consistent shooters Tech would be dangerous.

Oh. That was Brian Oliver.
I was assuming it was Thom Brennaman. I went to the game so I didn't see the broadcast.

TB got dumped from Fox NFL games after an unfortunate clip was dropped about his description of Kansas City that resembled one in Blazing Saddles.

It is not but good win.
Would have cost you $0.00 to not post this dumb nonsense. The players and fans absolutely brought it to a Top 25 opponent and you bring this to the board. I saw a team in the 2nd half today who did not give a **** about the number next to your name because they knew deep down they were not afraid of anybody. And here you are trying to tear down their win today. Absolute bull**** dude.

In basketball does he have somebody talking in his ears telling him who the players are or is he expected to do that himself from courtside?

Oh. That was Brian Oliver.

Mmhmm. Seemed the other guy did it a couple times then Oliver started screwing it up.

They don't even look alike. Hell, look at their hair if you're too stupid to remember their faces .. or jersey numbers .. or general placement on the floor.

I lambasted the Oglesby guy for repeatedly saying Ndongo's first name wrong. It really, really bothers me for several reasons I won't get into.

It takes very little effort to learn to say someone's name right in addition to the fact that I know they're provided phonetic spellings. Heyul, high school sports even does that.

But failing to recognize players that terribly is beyond disrespectful.

(not)Sorry for the rant.

That's why you want your point guard or best shooters on the line late. Of course we won despite bad FT' shooter. The better teams will foul bad FT shooters to stop the clock and put a poor shooter on the line. It's part of good coaching.
We have 1 poor shooter in Ndongo and 1 who is god awful in Souare who is in the 20% range. The other 5 were 9-12 today. 75% is solid. 0% between Ndongo and Sourae is as bad as possible.

Oliver was calling Ndongo Souare when Souare wasn't in the game.

There are more like this one, but they don’t even have the balls to say “nice win”, probably unhappy Louisville lost so they can’t bash players & coaches for at least a few days. This is not the “glass is half full v half empty” win. It’s a great full glass victory and no need for any buts, I wishes, if onlys, too bads or we just need tos. Just celebrate without adding a backhand about doing something better. They just beat a team ranked 21 in the nation and killed their 10 game win streak. With just 6 guys playing, 3 out injured and a one quitter. Good night to be a Georgia Tech fan.
