That’s great if you don’t play a team sport. Wtf does “team” even mean anymore? So much for all the BS talk you always hear about fighting for your brothers. It’s like the scene in Remember the Titans when the kid says “I’m not here for nobody, I’m gonna get mine.”
It is still quitting on the team. No matter how much lipstick you put on the pig it’s still the pig. The only difference is you have a good excuse for quitting on your team.
Mercenary football is just not for me. Half the team doesn’t even know the fight song.
But then you get kids like Haynes King who represents the other side of the coin. I am so proud and delighted he is a tech man. And he’s proud of it too, which makes me even more proud.
Here’s my take: cut his ***. Use his NIL money to get somebody else. If he’s looking, we’re looking. Loyalty is a two-way street. Or in this case, lack there of.
I am fully behind Key and I wasn’t always. I bought into the criticisms cast his way when he was at UCF and recruiting against us. Well he’s one helluva recruiter and now it’s for the good guys! In-game coaching will come with experience.
He also has a good eye for coaching talent and...
We showed we are equal to these clowns. Home field, home refs and home cooking. We left it all on the field. Toe to toe with a roster 30 recruiting places higher. Even though we lost, we gave it our all and came up a hair short.
I was having dejavu. Eerily similar to “the kick and the pick” scenario but just the regulation part. Luckily NCSU doesn’t have Butker.
As an aside, if Buttkicker had that kind of wind behind him it would’ve been good from 70!
