I think the transfer portal is the true test of a program's and a coach's recruiting prowess. I wonder if it's a different skill set than recruiting high school players? I think we upgraded our recruiting with the new coaches, but the proof will be in the transfer pudding.

I think all the schools with a history and aspiration for academic and athletic success/prestige should form their own conference. GT, Stanford, ND….etc…. Most schools say they do, but not really. It’s really hard to be at the very top of both.

One theme I hear in a lot of interviews of coaches is that we’re bringing in the right people. The right people make decisions for the right reasons. I think this will go along way to creating stability in the program.
I really like the direction of the program. I wasn’t sure I’d ever be able to say that again. I think back to that introductory press conference of the former guy. I had a bad feeling. Now I have a good feeling.
