Some of us may remember back in the '70s, the team on the plains had a most wonderful QB and WR pair that became basically un-stoppable. Even when the other team knew it was going to happen.

If one's memory is correct the QB was Sullivan and the WR was Beasley. Seem to recall that they also played Hight School ball together.

After watching Philo in the NC State game with Stockton, what is the chance they too become a most wonderful duo for Tech? Believe that there are many similarities.

Will leave it to others with more creativity than me to come up with an appropriate name.

Should be great times ahead!

THWG.

That is all.

Your post will trigger some on here. I made a post about the talent/potential of Philo and the downers came out with responses like this:

"Well Philo ain't no Haynes King" (not that I said he was or any better at the moment).

"Let's wait until he plays more football to make such outlandish assertions" (They missed the talent/potential part)

"You're crazy because he will get poached by a factory" (Maybe, but that speaks to his talent/potential)

As for me, I think he is a generational talent that I can't wait to watch Coaches Foster and Weinke mentor. The future is very bright indeed.

I thought of Hanratty and Seymour

The similarity is in having two players who bonded outside of football and in the off season. Just two guys continually playing catch with each other.

Nicknames for our Tech combination?

How about “cool” and “steady?”

This ranks some of great combos through the years. A look back at many of the pioneers of the modern passing attack.
