New GT WR Coach (rumored per 247 sports): Trent McKnight

I definitely hate to see him go, but think about this. When was the last time the Dwags hired away one of our coaches? Sounds like CBK is making good hires. I just hope we can find the bucks to retain the good ‘uns.

North Carolina Hires New DC - Geoff Collins

The UNC game may now run a credible second to COFH on the GT fanbase’s hate meter. You know GoofusGeoff will troll us on social media, classless chump that he is. CBK won’t say much in return, but he will have our guys meaned up and steamed up to let their play do the talking. I look forward to...

    Adidas Contract Expiring

My three concerns, beyond the commercial value of the deal: Do our athletes like their current unis - fit/comfort/design ? Is the GT fanbase happy with what's available from Adidas vs what they see Nike or UA market to the public for 'their' schools? Our supplier should make game-caliber merch...

What’s Key’s biggest asset as a HC to this point?

CBK’s most important attribute is personal authenticity. Combine that with his great love for GT, and you have a tremendously effective leader. A leader of quality will draw the best from his people and will draw good people to support him. We may be disadvantaged in some aspects of CFB -...

Gasparilla Bowl v UCF postgame celebration bonanza extravaganza

Gents, I was thinking on-field leader, but the DC is just as important, especially to recruit. So you and dressedcheeseside are both on point.

Gasparilla Bowl v UCF postgame celebration bonanza extravaganza

I've watched the game replay three times. I still can't stop smiling. We have a leader in the huddle. We have a leader in the HC job. If we find a leader on defense... tough schedule be damned. Bring 'em on.

Haynes King Update: How Do We Feel About Him?

That tweet (or whatever you call it now) translates to "We're lucky to have him". I wholeheartedly agree. The shade I can throw my Aggie relations is a nice bonus, too.

Geoff Collins worst GT coach of all time

TFG’s feckless, vacuuous stench has been exorcised.

Gasparilla Bowl v UCF postgame celebration bonanza extravaganza

Loved CBK’s on field interview right after the finish. Almost too choked up to talk. He loves toughness. Well, his team has it. They got punched in the mouth right off the bat, but they steadied themselves and found out they could run the ball on USF. Couldn’t be prouder of our guys. Can’t...

Haynes King Update: How Do We Feel About Him?

How can you not love this guy? How can you not love his head coach? The core personal trait in leadership is personal authenticity. These two guys have it. By God, let’s buckle up and enjoy the ride. By God, we damn well deserve it.

    Postgame: UGA 31-GT 23

Proud of how hard our guys played. Proud to be a Yellowjacket today. We didn’t win the game, but IMO we won some respect last night. We are so much better prepared and mentally tougher than under TFG! Our program is headed in the right direction - now let’s get ready for the bowl game!

Is the North Carolina win a turning point game?

When you have a team that’s way better on one side of the ball than the other, these wacky game-to-game outcomes are damn near inevitable. The turning point will come if we maintain our offensive process and become at least average on defense.

In honor of Paul Johnson being at the game tomorrow... what's your favorite memory from his time as coach?

Been reading all these with a smile. CBK’s watchword is toughness, but CPJ’s best teams defined the word. We gotta get that mojo back. Maybe celebrating Coach Johnson will help.

In honor of Paul Johnson being at the game tomorrow... what's your favorite memory from his time as coach?

2008 vs FSU. My first game in person for several years, wherein I came to know that the Flexbone could be a big play offense, not an old-fashioned 3 yards and a cloud of dust scheme.

Gofundme to hire a new DJ

I feel the same way about our local minor league baseball ‘game experience’ (AA Texas League, btw). The music is so damn loud you can’t have a normal conversation between innings. I wonder if there’s some oddball market research that has stadium operators cranking up the decibel level in their...

Thacker out at DC, now Safeties coach

One question about this move: what does Key do if the defense looks even worse this week?

    On to Miami

Absent several Miami turnovers, I think we are in for a long, difficult day. These are still the times which try Yellowjacket souls.

Can we talk about Haynes King last night? What are yall's thoughts about him, our offense going forward?

The o-line is problematic, not King. It’s a good thing he’s quick on his feet, because he’s not getting a lot of pass protection.

On-Campus Salute to Paul Johnson Set for Oct. 28

An honor well deserved! I hope his immediate successor watches ( on TV; don’t want him on campus) so he can see what a real football coach looks like.
